Mission: Care fresno creates safe and healthy communities at high crime apartment complexes, through collaboration with law enforcement, faith-based organizations, and community agencies.
Programs: Care fresno's mission is to train people and churches to address poverty by investing in communities with few resources and mentoring at-risk youth and family. Each year, care fresno staff and interns move into high-crime neighborhoods and develop programs for socioeconomically disadvantaged youth and families in the apartments where they live. Our current programs include, but are not limited to: care club after-school programs held within fresno's highest crime apartment complexes, giving children access to tutoring, reading, arts and sports as well as providing them with a safe place during hazardous times of each day. Our annual care camp gives youth the opportunity to attend a one-week camp filled with team games, hikes, singing, campfires and inspiring speakers. Care fresno's mission care is a year-long urban leadership program offering weekly classes in urban internship and community development.
