Causes: Human Services
Mission: To improve the quality of life in rural ghana by working in partnerships with ghanaians to build capacity and self-sufficiency in the areas of water, sanitation, health, education, and economic development.
Programs: Education assistance - the organization has established 3 libraries in 3 primary and middle schools, in schools that did not have libraries, in apam, ghana. Volunteers have processed books and trained teachers on the use of libraries. Medical & sanitation assistance - in partnership with aldersgate united methodist church, medical and surgical volunteers to work in a small 105 bed rural hospital which serves a district of approximately 400,000 people and has only 1 staff physician. Installed a waste water treatment system at the hospital.
