Mission: Provide affordable cooperative housing to the people of boulder county.
Programs: The boulder housing coalition is a 501c3, community housing association that owns/manages 3 permanently affordable rental cooperatives in the city of boulder, colorado. There are 55 low income residents living in these properties. The majority of the residents are making below 30% of the area median income. The houses were purchased with the help of affordable housing grants from the city of boulder and boulder county. All of the buildings are owned in partnership with boulder housing partners. This provides a property tax exemption on all of the properties by state statute. In addition, boulder housing coalition has an education program that offers cooperative living skills, mediation skills and social justice education. That program reached 110 people in 2017. In august of 2017 boulder housing coalition purchased 4662 ingram court in boulder colorado, a permanently affordable rental cooperative, that will house 12 people. The building was renovated in 2017 and some residents moved-in in january of 2018. We are still working on filling the building. The building was purchased with a grant from the city of boulder in the amount of 350,000.
