I can't say enough about this wonderful community. They provide quality, affordable care for their residents, with many enrichment programs and options. The community is in the beautiful Cherry Creek area, a couple of blocks from the Cherry Creek Mall. They are committed to the well-being of their residents and absolutely fulfill their mission of honoring the elderly. I can always recommend them to families and know they'll have a positive experience.
Kavod is a true leader in older adult housing and services. They set the standard for high quality housing, robust activities and a commitment to wellbeing. The staff go above and beyond to ensure a high quality of life for residents seeking ways to add activities and engagement opportunities. I am proud to be a Board Member.
Wonderful community in Denver. Their dedicated staff take a thoughtful approach to supporting the well-being of residents through access to quality arts, lifelong learning, and engaging enrichment opportunities.
Kavod Senior Life is a wonderful non-profit that not only offers supportive housing but also dynamic and diverse programming to the older adult community outside its walls. There is not much that isn't within reach to help an older adult connect in the Denver metro area and that is what makes Kavod unique!
I first learned about Kavod at a LeadingAge conference, where their team gave a presentation about their extensive and community-wide outreach known as "Kavod on the Road" and the annual "l'Chaim Conference." I have been fortunate enough to attend the annual conference, and it is an amazing experience. Bringing in inspiring speakers and folks who have deep expertise in their fields, it is a day that blends community, fun and fellowship, learning, and spiritual reflection, all of which serves to encourage and energize the seniors from throughout the Denver area who attend. The partnerships that Kavod has nurtured in the Denver metro region are nothing short of amazing, bringing together financial, health, educational, and cultural organizations for the purpose of increasing the well-being of seniors and adding to the experience of positive aging. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that Kavod must approach its activities very differently, but it has not slowed them down a bit. The 2020 "L'Chaim Conference" was held virtually, and while it was not the same as being together in person, it was still the inspiring and educational experience that one would expect from Kavod. Other activities, also, have moved online, as the Kavod team creatively strives to keep seniors engaged and reduce their isolation. Hats off to the passionate folks at Kavod Senior Life for all they do!
Kavod is unique. It has a superb location in one of Denver's most popular neighborhoods. Residents are treated with the respect they deserve and they feel honored to be part of a caring community. Services and activities are top-notch and carried out by caring & dedicated staff. This is a happy place that is continuing to uphold the top reputation that they have earned over their many years. They carry on the tradition of providing exceptional living experiences for those who call it Home.
This organization is committed to the safety and well being of all its residents. Kavod offers a wide variety of enrichment programs to keep the residents engaged both physically and mentally both inside the facility and with the Denver community. The staff is dedicated, caring, and truly fosters a safe and comfortable lifestyle.
It takes dedicated and consistent attention to create a cohesive senior living community. Kavod Senior Life provides HUD housing and assisted living services to a diverse group of residents who are supported by terrific caring and professional staff. The core Jewish values of honor and respect for elders is reflected in thoughtful social, financial, and community management. Walk in and feel at home.
Not only did my grandmother stay there , but I also currently serve on the Board. This is truly an amazing facility that focuses on serving the low income senior community as a whole, but also makes sure that its roughly 400 residents are treated with respect ( Kavod means respect in Hebrew). A key part of the mission at Kavod Senior Life is not make sure that this is not just a place for people to live, but to have a true home and community with plenty of opportunities to connect and grow. It has been difficult during Covid, but they have maintained their mission by moving some programming to virtual and even having concerts in in the street for the residents.
My mom arrived in Colorado at age 70 and was frankly sad and a bit lonely. She fell in love with Kavod(then called Allied). It changed her world! The activities, the friendships, the opportunities to learn new things, the focus on wellness contributed to the most amazing twenty years of high quality life. Kavod is a small miracle for those lucky enough to live there.
