Mission: The mission of the Boston Liturgical Dance Ensemble is to celebrate Christian Spirituality through the artistic expression of dance in conjunction with live music and dramatic enactments of scripture. Three primary means of realizing / achieving / living this mission follow:
1. Performing sacred and liturgical dance works in theater and church venues;
2. Promoting sacred and liturgical dance through education and public awareness;
3. Integrating dance ministry in liturgical prayer and worship.
In all its work, the ensemble explores the connections between artistic and religious expression. The spiritual context of the company, though primarily rooted in the Judeo-Christian tradition, is also open to other faith traditions.
