Noble thought but doesn't live up to expectations. There is discrimination about which employees get help. Paying into this from my paycheck (which is NOT tax-deductible as a charitable donation) does not guarentee the charity will be there if I ever need it.
The golf tournament is only an excuse for higher ups to get outside for a day, play golf, and drink.
