Mission: Biodiversity Northwest's mission is to protect and restore forest ecosystems in the Pacific Northwest. We seek to inspire citizen action to end the logging of mature and old growth forests on public lands and restore the health of forests and watersheds damaged by logging and related activities. We are an activist organization that grounds our work in sound science. We work with a variety of constituencies and attempt to achieve "win-win solutions" that benefit both the forests and communities adjacent to them. We have four full-time staff members, a door-to-door canvass, several interns, an active seven member board, dozens of committed volunteers, and about 1,500 members. We provide opportunities for our members to experience forests through old growth campouts and forest restoration field days.
