Programs: Mentoring children of prisoners (mcp): the mcp program functions under the guidelines and by the infrastructure of the community-based mentoring program. Mentors are paired with a child who has had a parent or guardian incarcerated. The program is committed to helping children overcome the disruption of the relationship with their parent who has been incarcerated, as well as any other hardship that the child may be encountering. Mentoring relationships are one-to-one and all participants receive training and supplemental activities to better support and enrich their program experience.

site based mentoring & community based mentoring: site based - this is the pairing of volunteers with a child ages 6-14. Volunteers may be adults, community members who are expected to meet the child once a week at a designated location (ex; elementary school, after-school program, recreation center, etc. ). Community based - this is the classic pairing of well-screened, caring adult volunteer mentors with children from primarily single-parent families. The mentoring relationship is designed to support and enhance a child's assets, in order to foster their physical, intellectural, emotional, and moral development. The volunteers are adults who are willing to commit at least one year (12 months) to serving as a big brother or big sister volunteer.

stem: to provide scholars of bbbst with hands on engaging programming fused with science, technology, engineering and math, while emphasizing the principles of stem with intermediate and advanced technology skills preparing them for 21st century career jobs. Can be affected by economic and political conditions; no history of noncompliance and no major laws and regulations affecting this.
