This was a great school and children with special needs really learned. Political individuals took this school after Mrs. Robinson built a wonderful state of the arts place for our children. She was not big shots so TEA and Management Accountability Cooperation forced her out for their benefit. The rich destroys the down trotters who have made a difference in the lives of many special need children. This was the greatest school in the city of Houston for 30 years name after her challenged son Benjie. Political individuals are trying to take her dreams and vision for themselves which is a shame when they could have help to continue the great work she has implemented. BSEA offers the four core subjects, and a variety of innovative programs to help students make meaningful decision in choosing a career path. These are the programs she implemented: Computer Education, Photography, and Technology across the curriculum. Protools Sound and Recording Studio, Culinary Arts, Theatrical Art, Multimedia, variety of sports, Health and Wellness, gym and Physical Fitness center with the Bally’s touch of glass walls. Benji’s State of the Art Jazz Ensemble, Marching Band, Track and awarding winner Step Team along other elective programs and extra curricula activities. The band and team was able to leave Fifth Ward and travel in other cities and states. The jazz Ensemble was planning a trip to Carnegie Hall in New York but a deceptive plot was devised by Texas Educational Agency that destroyed the children and schools dreams. What a shame. These were low income children who were cheated by a state agency and political individuals. Benji’s organization can prove the plot.
