I have a Bachelors Degree in Human Service and over 14 years of experience working in the Human Service field. I am the Director of Beethoven's Rescue, Inc. I started the organization about three years ago. Beethoven's Rescue, Inc provides trained service/companion dogs to victims of trauma, such as military servicemen/veteran, firemen, and police officers injured in the line of duty. We also provide trained companion dogs to children and adults with autism. Our first year a service dog was provided to a wounded military serviceman injured in Iraq. Our second year we provided two companion dogs to two children with autism. This is our third year and we are currently training a Newfoundland to be a service dog for someone in need. All the dogs are trained and provided at no cost to the recipient. In the last three years the Brighton Firemen have become sponsors/donors. Petco has award us a supply grant, the Denver Avalanche, and Nuggets have included our organization in their ticket donation. We depend on volunteers and public/community donations. I have worked with the Prison Canine Program and we have assisted with providing community service work for those on probation. I believe we have accomplished a lot in three years and for being a start-up organization.
