Causes: Arts & Culture, Bands & Ensembles, Music, Singing & Choral Groups
Mission: CCG promotes and shares the joy of classical choral music through performance, education, and music appreciation opportunities for youth, adults and seniors.
Programs: CCG's principal adult activity is its formal concert season involving the 70-member chorus of singers from the South Bay, Peninsula, East Bay, and San Francisco. Professional-quality concerts of challenging repertoire include both traditional and unusual works to broaden participants' and audiences' knowledge of musical periods and the cultures which produce them. Youth activities include the four-level Cantabile Children's Chorus and summer educational programs (Summer Music Day Camps for elementary students and Peninsula Choral Workshop for middle and high school students) which serve youth ages 6-18 from the mid-Peninsula to San José. These training programs offer comprehensive music education and are distinguished by exemplary curriculum that integrates vocal training, music theory, and high-level performance opportunities. All instruction is led by a staff of professional artists with extensive performance and education experience
