Mission: To offer prevention, intervention and postvention services that provide support in times of crisis and reduce the impact of suicide, homicide and violence.
Programs: Resource is a telephone information and referral service. Live, trained specialists assess a caller's needs and provide appropriate referrals to health and human services in the community.
the center operates multiple phone lines that provide 24-hour crisis intervention, care management, and emotional support. To ensure that no one in the state has to go through a tough time alone, trained crisis intervention specialists are available to listen and talk with the caller. Crisis intervention specialists are trained in crisis intervention, active listening, building rapport, and de-escalation.
cic offers a variety of educational and training programs to schools, organizations, interest groups, and individuals year-round, as well as more advanced training for school counselors, hospital staff, social workers, and undergraduate and graduate classes at local universities. Programs include workshops, training, and consultations.
