Programs: Ballet memphis produced 17 local performances, 5 education outreach performances and 3 touring performances in fy 17. Performances consist of mainstage, small venue and informances in a variety of locations. Performances happen at various locations in all parts of the city.

through pilates our dancers reduce their risk of injury and those that become instructors develop alternative career paths. Pilates is also an exxcellent rehab tool often recommended by physicians; these individuals range from people needing to regain flexibility and strength to alzheimer's patients who need to stay physically active. Additionally, there are people from all walks of life who come to us to maintain their own physicial fitness as well as to obtain training to become pilates instructors. 7,671 individuals attended pilates classes in fy 17. Our pilates centre provides one on one or group sessions for those with special needs mixed in with sessions for both professional and amateur athletes and the general public. We also provide training to become certified pilates instructors. This program is particularly beneficial to our dancers, giving them both the means to augment their income and a potential career path after they can no longer dance.

the ballet school provides early to advanced training in ballet, point and modern dance and special classes for men. The classes are open to anyone age 3 through adult. Class enrollment for the current year was 2,754 students. We provide scholarship assistance to those with financial needs as well as to extremely talented individuals. Our goal is to provide the opportunity to study dance to any child who demonstrates an interest and is willing to make a commitment to attend some classes are taught by members of our professional company. This not onky augments the dancer's salaries but it provides the students with excellent role models. Each studen also gets two free tickets to each main stage production.
