Causes: Philanthropy, Philanthropy, Voluntarism & Grantmaking Foundations
Mission: The afp oklahoma chapter advances and promotes philanthropy by empowering people and organizations to practice ethical and effective professional fundraising. We do this through: education & training, promoting credentialing, providing resources, networking, mentoring, advocacy and recognition.
Programs: Philanthropy, voluntarism, and grantmaking foundations: monthly luncheon meetings featuring a guest speaker. Each focuses on a specific fundraising topic such as: major gifts, board training, annual giving, volunteers, etc. (10 monthly luncheons/events)
produce & distribute monthly newsletter/e-letter featuring fundraising articles, job openings, upcoming events, speaker topics, web site info, etc.
philanthropy, voluntarism, and grantmaking foundations: 1-day national philanthropy day conference featuring workshops on various fundraising topics beneficial to chapter members & development professionals. Awards given for outstanding fundraisers.
