Mission: The Arc of Washington County, founded in 1961, grew out of the need to help children with disabilities reach their maximum developmental potential, assist parents, and to encourage public support for persons with disabilities. As children grew to adulthood, this organization grew with them. Today, we serve infants, toddlers, and adults. We are here to encourage and listen and act upon the dreams of those we serve, create shared community, & protect the health, safety, and rights of persons with mental retardation.
