Develop Africa is excellent! As an emerging nonprofit, Project PULSE, I was nervous about how I would be able to distribute local school supplies to developing nations in Africa. However, Develop Africa made this process super approachable! The organization will be worth your time and effort, with quick response times and excellent customer service!
For almost 20 years now, Develop Africa has taken on countless projects and initiatives to better the well-being of various nations facing inequalities. It was an honor with an organization that has touched so many lives, and I look forward to seeing what Develop Africa will do in the coming years. If you are a potential volunteer or donor seeing this, Develop Africa will be one of your best decisions, and take action now!
Sincerely,
Bhargav Kuchibhotla

On this note, I want to join my fellow youths and student of Develop Africa computer School here in Sierra Leone and the Juba Hill community to thank organization for providing a computer lab and wonderful teachers to help us minimize the technological gab through learning computer or improve our digital skills program.
This computer lab has helped to bridge the digital divide in Sierra Leone and has empowered us with the skills and knowledge we need to succeed in the digital world. We are grateful to Develop Africa for their support and we love you all.

Thank you to Develop Africa Sierra Leone for truly investing in the future of young people like us.
I have volunteered with Develop Africa for over 14 years. They continue to give back to the least of these from school supplies to micro loans to computer labs to leadership training. I count it a privilege to give my time to such a worthy organization.
I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the management of Develop Africa Sierra Leone for granting me the opportunity to be part of this noble institution and to learn basic IT skills. Since joining the IT Skills Department, Develop Africa Sierra Leone has had a positive impact not only on my life but also on the lives of others who have come through its doors.
I would also like to extend special thanks to the tutors of the IT department for their unwavering patience and dedication throughout the first and second phases of the program.
Lastly, I hope for continued sponsorship and support for the less privileged in this part of Africa, so that many more can benefit from these valuable opportunities.

ABOUT DEVELOP AFRICA SIERRA LEONE
The Develop Africa Sierra Leone is one of the best computer schools in Sierra Leone more in my community(Juba Hill Freetown), they offer all programs like Microsoft office applications, Hardware and Networking and am happy to be part of their computer training programs.
Moreover, the teachers are trained and qualify to teach you everything you need to know in computer. They are very hard-working teachers, during teaching, they teach you step by step so that you can understand easily at the ends every program we have to exam which is the most important thing I like in their computer school. So, I want to say thank you develop Africa Sierra Leone for this type of opportunity giving to us in learning computer.
I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am for our partnership with Develop Africa. As the executive director of a family foundation, I have watched and admired them from afar for a long time. Recently, we won a small grant to establish a computer literacy program in a remote village in the Northern Part of Sierra Leone. During our search for a someone to do our train-the-trainer workshop, I reached out, and the rest as they say, is history. The training, service, and follow up was exceptional. Thank you, Develop Africa for helping us reach our goal of serving disenfranchised communities.

Develop Africa is a place where I found myself with no regrets. This is where I came to know my key direction towards my dream and success, with the help of trained and qualified teachers such as Mr. Daniel, Mr. Johansen. These teachers are always ready and determine to see that students get what exactly they come for. The classroom is super confrontable for learning.

On the 5th February, 2023. I started volunteering at DEVELOP AFRICA, located at 27 Main Road Juba Hill, Freetown, Sierra Leone. I started as a beginner in the Mega software and also in Mega spreadsheet but I was guided by the programs team and they taught me how the Mega software works, its purpose, and also how to upload videos and photos of beneficiaries that are under the mentoring and sponsorship of Develop Africa. It was hectic for me for the first week because I was learning different things from different people but the encouraging words and motivating energy of the staff gave me the spirit to work hard so that I would be able to meet the goals of the Organization. Sometimes in all the tensions and pressure I usually go through, I make sure I do my work professionally and more accurately and the programs team and other Staff of Develop Africa will make sure that I am happy and give me some inspiring words that will make me love doing my role and responsibility as a Develop Africa volunteer. During this past month, I have learned a lot not only about my duties as a volunteer but also, I have learned some important things about life. I have learned to love kids both poor and rich and also don’t look down on anyone no matter where they are, who they are, and what they do to survive just continue to cherish them and show roses everywhere you go.
In August, I was included in the trip to Kamawornie village, Makeni City, and BO district for the annual scholarship distributions to beneficiaries. It was my first time going to Kamawornie village so the environment was strange and the people were too but I was happy meeting them because they are lovely people and I learned a lot about their customs and traditions. What inspired me the most about them is that in all the suffering they are going through they find ways to be happy and they love strangers and respect them, so as for the hospitality it was great. It is good to have a mixed experience about life’s journey.
In conclusion, I want to thank Develop Africa CEO and staff for what they are doing for vulnerable kids in Sierra Leone and beyond. Promoting education and also making sure that they have a comfortable environment to learn, the vision of the organization has given me the strength to make sure that I join hands with the organization to make the dreams of every vulnerable kid come to reality FOR WE ARE Africa and together we will make these kids smile and always be happy.
MY EXPERIENCE AT DEVELOP AFRICA
I am pleased with this computer course at develop Africa ,I recently completed some of the programs , As a result of this course at develop Africa , I have gained a solid foundation in computer, and also build a network of industry connections at develop Africa, This computer course has been a stepping stone towards a promising career, and I am excited about the limitless possibilities that lies ahead in this ever-evolving field of study at develop Africa . I am grateful for this opportunity, thank you develop Africa.
Hello, my name is Salamatu Isha Kallon a student of Develop Africa Sierra Leone (DASL). I just want to write my experience so far since I started pursing computer studies.
When I started this computer program, I was extremely excited because I love operating computers and I also admire people who usually operate them. The first day I started, I made a lot of friends, and got to know my teachers, and also learn some basics of computer like learning the physical aspect of a computer (Monitor, keyboard, Mouse etc.) Learned how to put a computer on and off. Got to know how to type by using typing master, learned some basics in Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
Honestly, I’m grateful to this program and to my teachers for putting so much effort in helping me to know the basics I know right now. Now I can proudly say I know about computer like how to make a presentation while using transitions and animations, some shapes like (Qcell, Africell and Orange posters) calculations of huge numbers on excel etc.
I am indeed grateful to this program. May God continue to bless the sponsors of this program and the teachers as well for their relentless effort.
MY EXPERIENCE AT DEVELOP AFRICA SIERRA LEONE
I am extremely pleased with the computer course I took at Develop Africa Sierra Leone which has added significant value to my skillsets particularly in my academic career. Before this course, I was struggling with typing, editing, PowerPoint presentation and most importantly MS Excel.
I am grateful to Develop Africa Sierra Leone for which I have learn a lot from them, now I am able to do presentation through PowerPoint and also on how to do calculation in the MS Excel which is very important in my course of study in the university. Now I can proudly say I am a computer literate for which I can work with computers anywhere without been afraid.
For this achievement that I have gain, I will like to say thank you to Develop Africa for such opportunity.
Hi I’m Mohamed Mansaray a student of the DEVELOP AFRICA SIERRA LEONE computer school, I may like to share my experience at DASL.
To start, DASL has taught me to be strong, courageous, hardworking and to be friendly. It doesn’t matter how difficult something might be they thought me to always keep on pushing and surely it brings success.
Secondly DASL has a comfortable learning atmosphere with standard and effective computer Lab which makes learning easy.
Lastly, I may like to use this opportunity with a sincere heart to thank all the staff of the DASL for their different services rending to us especially Mr. Daniel and Mr. Johanese God bless ya’ll.
As a computer student, I am grateful for the opportunity given to me by DASL to contribute my skills to such a meaningful cause, and would encourage others to get involved as well. With a few minor areas for improvement in community engagement, Develop Africa Sierra Leone has the potential to continue transforming lives and empowering dreams for years to come. However, my recent experience with the organization has reminded me of the profound impact that technology can have on the lives of those less fortunate in Africa. My special Thanks to Develop Africa for all they are doing.
I had the opportunity to volunteer with Develop Africa, and it was an incredibly captivating experience. I got to understand the organization's mission and how it positively impacts and transforms the lives of children and communities in Africa. During my time there, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Sylvester Renner, the organization's president, who left a lasting impression with his warm and welcoming personality, as well as his genuine passion for making a difference in people's lives. I am eagerly looking forward to witnessing the significant positive changes this organization will bring to the lives of many.
I recently had a fantastic experience with GreatNonprofits and I would highly recommend their platform to anyone looking to support impactful nonprofit organizations. The website is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and find organizations that align with your interests and values. I was impressed by the wide range of nonprofits listed and the detailed reviews provided by community members who have firsthand experience with these organizations. The platform allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals and learn from their experiences, which helped me make informed decisions about where to direct my support. GreatNonprofits truly empowers individuals to make a positive difference in the world by connecting them with trustworthy and impactful nonprofits. -jb-

Thank you Develop Africa for your Amazing work. You have grate people there.
And I mean above the expectations that one has when coming to Develop Africa computer school.
Thank you for your support towards us in learning computer in this part of the world.
We are so grateful. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL WE LOVE YOU ALL.
As a volunteer, I discovered Develop Africa truly makes a difference for the educations and lives of these young people. A great organization, making a difference!
As a student at Develop Africa Sierra Leone, I spent appreciable time observing the teaching and learning process so far.
Firstly, I am confident to comment on Develop Africa for the adequate provision of teaching and learning materials for students, every student has access to a computer machine to him or which makes the learning process very much convenient in a conducive atmosphere.
Students were given pens and other learning materials upon registration, the availability of a very big projector and the provision of constant internet facility for all students makes the process very much comfortable.
About the teaching process, I can say after successfully going through any program at Develop Africa Sierra Leone, every student can excel anywhere in the world with the knowledge gained. Considering the teachers have to deal with students with different educational backgrounds come from secondary schools, and universities, and some with technical skills only. The pattern or style of teaching (methodology) is very much impressive in the classroom.
I love the fact that Develop Africa is helping the vulnerable ones in Africa in becoming a better version of theirselves
I worked with Develop Africa in helping to create a curriculum for female students interested in computer science and robotics. With the help of my community, I was able to donate 7 kits to assist with building robots. I loved my experience working with the girls and members of Develop Africa. The members were always welcoming and positive, and dedicated to improving lives.
I have had the opportunity to work with this incredible non-profit organization, Develop Africa. The donations go directly towards providing students with a better quality of life and education. I was able to ask questions to the students to describe their daily lives and compare them to the daily life of an American teenager and was surprised at the results, see the blog to read about it!
Develop Africa Inc has been a home to me since I moved to Johnson City. I volunteer at their office weekly and I have handled over 100 donated boxes of books and school supplies. In addition, I send thank you emails to the donors.
I am excited each time I see the impact of their work on various social media handles including FB, LinkedIn, etc. Finally, the dedication of their staff to the mission and vision of the nonprofit is worth emulating.
Sylvester and the DA team have a huge heart to help children in need! Children that most likely wouldn’t be able to obtain an education without their help! By providing assistance with education, they are empowering this children with a future which will change their lives and their family's lives.
Keep up the good work!
I had an enlightening summer with this organization. I learned how to organize files in google sheets so they can be readily accessible when needed. I also learned to do research in grant station. I will be able to take this knowledge with me to Berea College. There, I work student ran Habitat for Humanity. With the new skills I learned, I can keep an organized data of all the work we did, people we helped, hours we spent doing service, etc.
As an educational nonprofit organization, Xcelerate NC Inc looks to partner with other nonprofits who support children's education. We came across Develop Africa, an incredible organization that works to support children's education especially for girls in Africa. Our experience with Develop Africa and Mr. Sylvester Renner has been absolutely fantastic. We learnt how Develop Africa provides school supplies, supports health and well-being, and empowers youth with skill training. We got an opportunity to work with a student in Sierra Leone, conducting English language and Public Speaking classes through online sessions. It was an incredible experience!
Xcelerate NC wishes Develop Africa all success on their noble mission and on all future endeavors.
We have been a part of Develop Africa for about 5 years and were able to see first hand how much they cared for the children in one of their sponsored orphanages. They worked hard to get sponsors but mostly we saw them care for the souls of the children. Thank you
Develop Africa is changing lives in Sierra Leone! I have worked with their students and have witnessed firsthand how they are empowering young women in Africa to start businesses and change their lives.
I have experienced first hand the impact of this organization in the lives of so many youths children in Africa. The impact has a multiplier effect and grows as they change the lives of youths and children through their educational programs, microfinance, school supplies, computer training and much more. Simply amazing the reach of this organization. Excellent execution and administration. Thanks Develop Africa.

I have served in the Board of Develop Africa Inc. Develop Africa Inc. has a clear and compelling vision. I was struck by the outstanding work ethic and great organizational skills of its staff and volunteers. During field trips in Africa I noticed the impact the organization has on schools, small business owners and youth providing training and scholarship for education.
I did an internship at Develop Africa many years ago, and have also donated and volunteered over the years. The work they do changes lives for so many people. Develop Africa uplifts others with school supplies, mosquito nets, training classes, and more. This ensures that folks are able to achieve lasting changes in their lives… for the betterment of all.
I searched the entirety of the internet for an organization that I could feel REALLY good supporting. That organization is Developing Africa. I have been supporting DA for over two years, now my husband sponsors a child too, and I just brought on my next student to sponsor. Education changed my life, and to be able to provide the gift of education is such an honor. We look forward to continuing to support DA, and encourage everyone else to do so too.
I met students In Sierra Leone that are been sponsored by Develop Africa - every day they take school supplies to these young intellectuals. This is helping many of these young minds to excel in high schools
Develop Africa is a pioneer in helping young teenagers navigate high school
Excellent non-profit organization, they provide effective platform for touching the lives of less privilege children back in Africa.

Develop Africa is an amazing organization which helps deliver school supplies and other essential items to children in need.
My first experience with Develop Africa was a couple of years ago. I was in a conversation with a friend about nonprofit organizations, and he mentioned that he worked with one of the best in the city. I got curious because I am African, and my Indian friend was talking about a nonprofit that was doing everything possible to educate people in Africa. From that time, I have served as a volunteer and part-time staff. My experiences are numerous. But I would say a few things that I experienced. They are "thoughtful in all their actions" going as far as working weekends to make sure the supplies are ready in good time, bridging the gap between donors and sponsored kids, and ensuring that basic needs are met for the underprivileged.
For over twelve (12) years now, our organization, the Advocacy Initiative for Development has been working with Develop Africa on many projects including children's education, child protection, youth empowerment, women's empowerment, etc. Over the years, hundreds of youths and women directly benefited from different skills development/training programs funded by Develop Africa.
Most beneficiaries who went through those training programs either ended up starting their own small businesses or securing jobs in various organizations thereby making livelihood a reality for themselves. This wouldn't have happened without the strategic partnership with Develop Africa.
Develop Africa has indeed been impacting and transforming lives in Africa for sustainable development.
Develop Africa strategically empowers lives in Africa by providing educational opportunities and resources. During my time at Develop Africa, having a first-hand view and relationship with the wonderful people who operate the organization, I felt a part of something important, something that will change people's lives forever and hopefully inspire them to make a change as well. I loved working with Develop Africa, and I hope to work with them again in the future.
I cannot say enough great things about this nonprofit. I have had the distinct pleasure of working with the founder, Sylvester, while volunteering. At first it was a data gathering mission. I was given a list of podcasts on nonprofit best practices to which to listen and then summarize. Not only was this a rewarding and fun volunteer task, but I can tell that those at Develop Africa have been using this information as they perpetually look for and execute on continuous improvement activities. This is just an honest and genuinely good nonprofit. A solid mission. A caring set of workers/volunteers. A lot of examples showing true differences being made in Sierra Leone and well beyond. An organization to which I never second guess giving my time, money, and support.
I was able to write summary notes over podcasts that are going to help Develop Africa become better at fundraising. It was a really neat way to volunteer my time.
Volunteering at the Develop Africa organization has forever changed my outlook on education and selfless serving. Day in and day out, I noticed the continued excellence of the staff as they ensured that all supplies and donations that come in - from pencils to electronics to school bags - are in the best shape possible.
Collecting school supplies and building mini-computers made me value the privilege that I have to free education. It is heartbreaking when hundreds of thousands of kids the same age have to forfeit their education because their responsibilities outweigh the opportunity for an education. But with nonprofits like Develop Africa, impoverished African children will have access to free educational resources and materials so that the idea of learning is no longer a fantasy but a reality.
This place is awesome and does a great job collecting and sending supplies to Africa.

Upon walking into Develop Africa, I was immediately taken back by the scale in which they operate. The people behind this organization truly care about the lives and well being of the children in Africa. Both Sylvester and Chris were extremely kind and welcoming towards me, as well as grateful to have an extra hand around the office. Develop Africa is sending out bin after bin of school supplies to various school in Sierra Leone as well as other counties within Africa.
Develop Africa is an incredible organization. Early this year, I visited two projects of the organization and had the opportunity to witness first-hand the impact the organization has on the lives of children and mothers in Sierra Leone.
I had the opportunity to interact and meet with 12 children and 3 mothers who still received direct support in the form of school supplies and micro grants since the mudslide intervention in 2014.
Develop Africa is truly transforming lives in Sierra Leone. I am so thankful for all of the dedication and beneficial work the organization is doing. The community is so lucky to have you.
My name is Abu Rahman K, a former computer training student of Develop Africa in Sierra Leone. The excellent training I received endowed me with great knowledge in computer systems - which I was an illiterate on.
I can now do presentations work at college with ease. I can also can now help my colleagues on campus about computer related issues. My goal now is to help other computer illiterates to become proficient. This will in essence help the society, nation and the individual as a whole.
Thanks so much Develop Africa!
I have been volunteering with Develop Africa since January 2019 and this experience has been nothing but awesome and life changing for me. Develop Africa has been a great help to less privileged children and parents. My experience with them has been a great deal because I am one of the beneficiary in terms of acquiring computer literacy. They are offering free scholarship and giving children school materials that will last them for the whole of the academy year. They help parents money to start up business for them selves and pay them (DASL) later at a convenient time of them. DASL is indeed making a affecting lives in a positive way in the country because they don't only provide services to the city alone but also in the suberbob villages too.

In relation to the computer skills by develop,
It has help me to become more technological incline in dealing with electronics issues.
I Furthermore I can now help other people about computer related issues. And help them know what I have learnt.
I have been affiliated with this organization for probably over five years. I see the great work been done to help less fortunate kids in Africa. I like their transparency and individual acknowledgment of donations. I hope people see this and help them make life a little bit easier for the underprivileged kids they service. Please support them.
I've had the awesome opportunity to watch Develop Africa remain dedicated to helping people all over Africa. Whether it is children with school supplies, computer training, micro finance loans, and child sponsorship...Develop Africa's team works to efficiently put donations to work. Have you seen the school supplies collected and shipped to Africa? How about the Pencil Project? This non-profit is one you can be proud of for it's stewardship and dedication to honest and open use of donations received. I've had the blessing of being a donor to Develop Africa, the chance to visit recipients in person, and the honor to recently become a board member. Five unbiased stars.
This is a really amazing program. It is helping change lives and making differences. They provide scholarships and books which is such an amazing initiative. Everyone should support this program.
I was so happy when I heard and saw what Develop Africa was doing. I got in touch with them and got some school materials for a ministry in Liberia call Eagle Christian Center located in the heart of Monrovia which have been a help to the children in that neighborhood. And Develop Africa was so happy in helping in the case. We thank all the hard working people at Develope Africa Inc. Please keep up the good work.
I used to do volunteer work for Develop Africa. It was an honor to assist a nonprofit with genuine concern for helping others. They've helped provide technology, books, supplies, etc. to our African brothers and sisters. I am glad that DevelopAfrica is still going strong, remaining visible through social media, and providing resources to those in need.
Develop Africa as a nonprofit has proven to be an incredible organization that have made great impression on most of us that love charity giving especially towards worthy cause.
True to their mission, Develop Africa has been able to deliver on awesome initiatives around Africa helping and empowering underprivileged needy children and Communities.
Recently they shipped and distributed drums of school supplies around schools in Africa. Develop Africa will be one of my top 5 charity organizations. Keep up the good work.
I was a volunteer with Develop Africa for roughly three years and I thought it was such a rewarding experience to be a part of. I only helped in small ways but I could see the outcomes and results of what Mr. Renner and his organization do for young students in Africa. The sponsors themselves were so involved and generous and were constantly donating and sponsoring the children. I am so thankful to have been a part of such an amazing organization that has made impact on so many African youths and scholars.
Develop Africa is a wonderful non-profit organization which dedicates itself to a very noble cause. It was a pleasure to be able to volunteer for them. The people who work at Develop Africa are passionate about the work they do and are warm, welcoming, and hospitable to volunteers. Their work has provided assistance and aid to countless children and families throughout Africa, and they have been essential in ensuring that students in Africa have the materials they need to excel and move forward with their education goals.
I was introduced to DA approximately 2 months ago. Never would i have dreamed of a non profit organization doing so much for the needy of Africa. Sylvester, Cristopher and the other office personnel was such a pleasure to work with. I was overwhelmed with the generosity and giving of people to this cause. This organization has the leadership, goal, and ability to carry out a direction of hope and future to the African communities they aide. If you are searching for an organization to donate too, look no further than to Develop Africa.
Develop Africa has done tremendous work in Sierra Leone and other countries, working towards the development and empowerment of those underprivileged in society.
Develop Africa is a focused and professional nonprofit with a passion for developing Africa - through direct interventions with material help, site visits, collaboration with local communities, social/developmental entities and other organisations helping in Africa. We have collaborated with Develop Africa in ensuring that interventions in rural Sierra Leone are successful and meet the requirements of the rural poor. Develop Africa is indeed a shining light in Africa, bringing help to Africa taking the message of African developmental issues to the wider world. We look forward to working with Develop Africa always as a partner in development.
Develop Africa's passion and commitment to the development of Africa and to addressing issues ranging from education to poverty alleviation and economic empowerment, is highly commendable. It is evident the organization has a clear sense of purpose.
I have been a volunteer at Develop Africa for about a year and its been an amazing experience seeing what they do and how they affect lives. From sending school supplies to disadvantaged children in Africa to helping African orphans from the Ebola epidemic at the Dream Home, Develop Africa extends genuine love from abroad. The manner in which things are conducted and the level of professionalism makes it difficult not to buy into the vision. I love my experience here and i am privileged to have this opportunity to contribute to Africa's development. Keep moving forward!!
I have worked with develop Africa on 2 projects, one I am currently starting. My first project I did with them was fantastic. I collected backpacks filled with school supplies to donate to an ebola orphanage in Africa. My project I am working on now is a teen pregnancy website. Develop Africa has been very supportive and helpful throughout my projects, and is a very great nonprofit organization.
I was there and what I saw was a gracious sight showing loving hearts willing and striving to reach out to needy children and combat ignorance. They are doing a great job.
I connected with Develop Africa's Dream Home while living and working as a nurse in Sierra Leone, West Africa in 2015 and it has been a joy to volunteer and support their work ever since. While they are a relatively small organization, the work they are doing is extremely meaningful and they are most definitely having an extraordinarily positive impact on the lives of the children they serve as well as the local communities with which they partner.
Develop Africa Inc. is an organization that has the interest of the African community at heart. They always yearn to improve African societies by providing sustainable aids to less privileged communities in those region and are always open to doing more.
It is amazing to see the passion in each of this organizations members! I pray that they will always have the spirit and resources to continually impact the world! I will definitely support them on this journey in any way I can!
I went to Develop Africa to volunteer for a class project and the people there were so warm and nice that I volunteered for more hours than I originally intended. They do great work there.
I sent in 4-6 boxes of school supplies, for the first time, so I was unsure of the process. The communication through email was efficient and informative. This organization really cares! I am already prepping for our next donation!
Develop Africa has given hope to children from poor families to access education. This is precious for the girl child who faced a myriad of challenges ranging from early marriages to child labour.

This is a wonderful charity!! It is a blessing to be a part of this growing mission. As I read and view all of the positive changes being made for these children... It amazes me. All of my questions were answered in a reasonable amount of time and very well explained. I love develop Africa and all the selfless work they do to create a better world. Thankyou.
My elementary school supports two students in Sierra Leone and it has been a great experience so far working with the sponsorship team and receiving letters from our students. Great organization!
I found Develop Africa through a TED talk given by See Your Impact cofounder, Scott Oki. I was impressed with the transparency of this organization and its encouragement of donors to really get involved not only on a monetary level, but a human level of connection and understanding. Sylvester Renner and Joshua Sandy have helped facilitate the support and a relationship with our adopted family in Sierra Leone. Sylvester and Joshua are a joy to work with and make giving and getting involved easy and rewarding. We look forward to a long and meaningful relationship with the Develop Africa team. Monique Christiansen and The Christiansen Family.
After my son was born, I knew I wanted to volunteer for an organization that helped children. I searched high and low for a nonprofit that directly and tangibly made a difference in the lives of kids in need, and Develop Africa fit that criteria perfectly. They don't spend all their money on marketing, and the link between donor and recipient is fairly direct. Even 18 months later, I am still inspired by the work they do, and proud to be part of the team.
You have to respect an organization so deeply involved in outreach and uplift. Develop Africa is a great example of investing in the youth to help create a better tomorrow. I've watched the org & their initiatives for over 10 years and I'm always moved by their desire to take action.
I have known Sylvester for about 3 years I think. He had called me with a job, to build a crate to ship supplies (in this case a lectern) to aid teaching children in Africa. Since meeting him, he and I have corresponded back and forth a few times over different subjects. I have great faith that Mr. Renner is smart and has only the best intentions and motivation for helping his chosen (less fortunate) in how ever manner he can.

I want to thank Develop Africa for the good work they are doing. They supports my schools with 10 Drums school materials in Sierra Leone. May God continue to bless them.
This charity has been helping with education efforts in African countries.
They are currently addressing the Ebola crises through efforts at educating the populace and providing much needed supplies. They were on the forefront and responded to this cisis before many other organizations and governments
New Life Project Inc. is very grateful for all the moral and financial support that we have received over the years from Develop Africa Inc. as we thrive to achieve our mission in Azope, Cote D'Ivoire. The financial support has transformed lives of young women giving them an opportunity to further their education or start a small business which helps them regain their self- esteem and find economic independence. It is their generosity and belief in our mission that enables us to perform our work.

As a partner( Adullam Missions Evangelistic Network) with Develop Africa for a couple of years, it has been a joy and pleasure in working with them. They are truly what a Nonprofit should be. Delivering real aid to real people with utmost sense of responsibility, accountability and transparency. Their networking ability has been their sense of strength and so you can always count on them.
The Prince of Wales Alumni GA Chapter partnered with Develop Africa Inc. to send medical supplies for the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone. This Charity Organization made it possible for these items to be deliver in Sierra Leone within three (3) days. Develop Africa Inc. is an outstanding and trustworthy Organization.
Having partnered with Develop Africa Inc to send much needed PPE for the Ebola Outbreak
in Sierra Leone, I can say that Develop Africa is one of a rare breed of competent Charity Organizations that can deliver on its promise to expedite medical suppliers to Sierra Leone within 3 days. We were proud of our accomplishments together.
If you’re thinking of partnering with Develop Africa, you are making a wise decision and would find yourself working with a competent and trustworthy Organization.

As the Ebola epidemic savaged Sierra Leone, I was asked by a group of donors to identify a NGO that would be able to identify needs on the ground. Develop Africa worked with the Ministry of Health in Sierra Leone, purchased needed materials and worked on getting it to them all within a relatively short time. They were really great and dedicated to the task of providing assistance during the epidemic. Develop Africa is an outstanding organization.
Develop Africa is a great nonprofit that helps people on the individual level with a broad range of programs like computer training, scholarships for kids who need help paying their fees and microfinance programs that enable people to start business making them self-sustaining individuals and leaders of their community. More recently DA has been really involved in combatting Ebola through awareness and educational campaigns, sending protective gear for health care workers on the ground, and a recent online Q&A with Reddit. The work they are doing is especially during this time. Volunteering as the twitter manager for Sylvester's organization has been a great experience so far.
Develop Africa is a great organization. I have marveled at their relentless efforts in helping the needy especially in East and West Africa. The founders truly have a heart for the poor and needy. They challenge me and inspire me. I have been very moved by their efforts in supplying medical and protective kits to the health workers on the front line in Sierra Leone. What I also find interesting is that sometimes, it is hard to know who's behind Develop Africa if you didn't already know them or you haven't visited their website. This is because they promote the work, they amplify the voices of those in need. They don't promote themselves as personalities which I find exceptional especially in a world where people seek to use these platforms to get famous. Looking forward to see what's in store in 2015. God bless them for a job well done. I also hope that they can also document their experiences and lessons they have learned so other organizations on the continent can learn from them as well.
Develop Africa indeed is developing Africa.I have been following up with all the works they have been doing on social media and it is changing my life.Inspiring me in wanting to give back to society when i have the available resources.Develop Africa is changing lives of children from ranges of schorlaships to providing food, soap and materials to help combat ebola in west africa. These are the types of organizations we need more in the world to make it a better place for living. DA has been spectular in the job the are doing and may God help them continue to grow and do more so that at the end of the day these inspired lives can touch other lives.
What an unforgettable experience working for Develop Africa. I had the chance to vividly understand the workings of a charity organization and how socio-economic problems are tackled overseas. Africa is dear to my heart and anything that has to do with the development of the continent captures my attention. Mr. Sylvester, who oversees the day to day running of the agency, is an affable man with a great personality. He is passionate about the development of Africa so much that he goes the extra mile to get things done. I could not have been anywhere better than volunteering for this reputable organization. After my first semester exams, i am returning to the agency to render service to humanity .
i'm glad I had the chance to work with Sylvester on helping to design the website. I've always wanted to get involved with an educational initiative that makes a difference especially in developing countries like Africa. The same way we can improve our educational system here in the US then we can help others improve as well. I hope to continue to work with company. Keep up the good work Sylvester!
I enjoyed meeting Sylvester and learning about the goals that DAI have. I find that any program that is committed to the improvement of others is a worthy cause. I am sure that DAI will make a huge difference in the lives of the folks in Africa. God bless you all
No doubt that Develop Africa is an important and successful intiative! The program is a great educational project. A blessing, indeed, and well deserved and greatly needed by the people and school systems that are helped.
Develop Africa continues to do an excellent job in helping the less fortunate in Africa. The vision to assist and improve the lives of those in need has always been a passion of one of the founders who is a close friend. Develop Africa is managed by individuals with high integrity and I am confident that funds are used wisely.
DA has been working with CAPEC for some years now. It has empowered not only the children but the organization as well. I like DA for its constant support to our organization and also the link they create with different partners and individuals wishing to support our activities. I like DA for its openness, transparency, accountability and above all, its generosity. I also like DA because they are faithful to their partners and they make such they support them each year, no matter how little they can get. They are fast in responding to mails, which makes administrative work faster.
Develop Africa is an amazing organization; I have been in touch with this organization since 2008. I am very impress with their level of commitment, dedication and passion of helping less fortunate children in Africa. The board members also demonstrate tremendous admiration and support to other organizations in the United States and Africa that promote educational advancement for children, especially African youths. Being that I’m from Africa I understand the need for educational advance and lack of educational supplies and resources so Develop Africa mission of providing training , scholarship and support to other NGO with the same objectives is a selfless and inspirational act. The board members are highly professional and very resourceful in their efforts to empower others.
Develop Africa has a strong and clear commitment to helping to making a visible change in Africa. I admire the transparent manner in which Develop Africa operates and handles funds. Develop Africa does not only provide funds and stays behind, they (or their volunteers) go right to the filed to see and evaluate the impact of the work the are doing.
