Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Family Services, Homeless & Housing, Homeless Shelters, Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: Our mission is threefold: provide healing and care to those in need, educate people to social awareness and motivate them to act, and advocate for public policy that ensures a just society.
In cherishing the Divine within, we improve lives by offering meaningful help and hope so that every person can realize her or his full potential.
Programs: Catholic Charities currently operates in Baltimore City and nine counties throughout Maryland with programs that continue to serve the needs of children and families as well as the elderly, the disadvantaged, and people with developmental disabilities. Our programs, which now number more than 80, have evolved in tandem with the pervasive societal challenges that many people face in our community-hunger, poverty, unemployment, child abuse, emotional and developmental disability, housing, issues of the aging and more.
