Mission: Established in 1980, the CISE Fund is a partnership between the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and the local community to give students from low-income families the opportunity to receive a strong academic foundation in neighborhood Catholic schools. The mission of CISE is to empower these young people to live lives that will compete with the rest of the world.To qualify as a CISE school, 50% or more of its students must be living below the federal poverty level. Around 70% of the students served by the CISE schools presently fall into this category. These schools open their doors to all students regardless of their religious and ethnic backgrounds, 65% are non-Catholic and 70% are African American.
