Mission: To serve as a catalyst, primarily in ward 8, east of the anacostia river, ensuring individuals and families' access to quality education, livable wage jobs, cultural activities, affordable housing, neighborhood businesses (continued) and access to effective health and social services.
Programs: Youthbuild: provides vocational training (carpentry and construction) to dc youth aged 16-24
out of school youth:create employment and career path for youths aged 14 to 21 in targeted census tracks. Welfare to work: to place tanf recipients on full time subsidized employment. Provide dc youth with development skills necessary for becoming self-sustaining, self-directed & employable citizens. Promote planning & economic development along with responsible fatherhood within the community and housing project.
