Mission: The arc of southwest washington help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve a liftime of success by building capability with respectufl advocacy; direct support of individuals and their families; and promotion of full participation in our community.
Programs: The family center provides therapy, early intervention and educaiton classes for children from birth to 7 years and their families, support groups for parents and siblings of indiviuals with developmental disabilities and a play center that brings children of all abilities up to the age of 4 in an inclusive setting. Adult programs provide direct services through various programs including vocations development services, supported living, room to grow accessible community garden and payee representive. The arc is also legal guardian to more than 40 individuals who have no other representative available. The resource collection center operates as a collection service for donations of clothing and household items in clark and cowlitz counties. General advocacy promotes full community participation in the local community via publc awareness initiatives, publications, media creation, special events and other activities to promote positive collaboration among agencies serving the developmentally disables population.
