Programs: The community service program provides respite care, independent living supervision, elderly and adult personal care services, and individual and family support services for people with disabilities while they are living at home with family members or independently with assistance.
the employment service program provides training and employment centers which in turn provide experience and the opportunity for the disabled to develope occupational and social skills.
the residential program operates six community homes and two large residential facilities that provide 24 hour care in all aspect of daily living to individuals with developement disabilities. Additionally one of the five group homes is a special needs home and each of the two large facilities operate units that provide continous professional nursing care for medically fragile individuals.

It provided medical services to persons with disabilites and also to the general public. The operations of this subsidiary are reported in the consolidated financial statements of the arc of acadiana and are part of this form 990. The previous subsidiary opelousas family healthcare ceased operations during the previous fye 6/30/16 and therefore is not part of this consolidated return.
