Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: To provide a wide range of services including therapeutic, educational, vocational, residential and other related services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, and others who have various life challenges (e. G. Veterans). As part of the vocational services provided through the center for financial stability, the organization offers educational services in the culinary field and related catering services to third parties; it also operates an electronicss recycling center as part of its vocational programs.
Programs: Children services: the organization provides several programs for approximately 494 children and youth from the ages of 3 to 21. These programs are specialized and intended to enrich children with developmental disabilities including those with behavioral challenges. The organization also provides other services to help families/caregivers and children with diagnosing, assisting and habilitating developmental conditions.
residential services: the organization owns and operates 5 group homes which served approximately 30 people located in single family neighborhoods in cities in western broward county, florida. Each home has up to six adults with developmental disabilities living there. Some have live-in staff and some with shifts of staff, all providing 24 hour coverage 365 days/year.
habilitation day services: the organization offers a continuum of quality services to approximately 261 adults with developmental disabilities. They currently operate three day programs which provide individualized support and meaningful day activities for adults, including those with complex behavioral needs or those who are aging. Residential services are offered as a solution for families who can no longer meet the supervision and support needs of their family member with a developmental disability.
