Mission: The Mid-Rio Grande Chapter of the American Red Cross was founded in 1916, and serves the Greater Albuquerque area and the Central and Eastern New Mexico counties of Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, Torrance, Socorro, Catron, Curry, Guadalupe, DeBaca, Roosevelt and Quay. Under the mission of the American Red Cross, the Mid-Rio Grande Chapter seeks to provide the highest quality services and programs in disaster relief, safety, and preparedness, and is guided by the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.
