I have been a member of the ASO for years, and it keeps getting better and better. It serves the community by playing fun concerts such as the Halloween Concert of 2022 which had really unique programming and fun things for kids and adults to do such as a costume contest and theremin petting zoo at intermission. In the fall of 2021, they premiered and commissioned two pieces by a young African American composer who was a Mount Union Alum. That was beautiful! Located on the campus of Mount Union, this orchestra provides continuing opportunities for advanced high school players, university students, and community members. The conductor is excellent and brings incredible variety and intrigue to the programming.
