Mission: All-Star Kids Tutoring is dedicated to breaking the cycle of illiteracy by providing free weekly one-on-one volunteer tutoring to elementary school age children who are struggling to master basic reading skills. ASKT attempts to break the cycle of illiteracy by establishing tutoring sites throughout the community where volunteer tutors can work safely and effectively with their students. In addition to developing literacy skills, ASKT works to foster self-confidence, teamwork, and a multitude of positive character traits that are essential to personal success. The vision of ASKT is to teach children essential reading skills to ensure a solid foundation for a successful life.
