Mission: The aiha guideline foundation is dedicated to developing and disseminating occupational and community exposure guidelines for chemical and physical agents and stressors. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the aiha guideline foundation conducts research intended to educate the public.
Programs: Standards advisory steering panel provides updates and recommendations to the agf board of directors on health and safety consensus standards that further the goals of the american industrial hygiene association (aiha). This will allow aiha gf to: identify the consensus standards issues that are important to aiha members and stakeholders; track activities pertaining to standards development that have an impact on the industrial hygiene profession and worker health and safety; determine the appropriate level of aiha involvement in any such standards to more effectively influence their development in support of the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
the erp committee develops guidelines for responding to potential releases of airborne substances for use in community emergency planning. Erpgs are air concentration guidelines for single exposures to agents and are intended for use as tools to assess the adequacy of accident prevention and emergency response plans, including transportation emergency planning, community emergency response plans and incident prevention and mitigation.
