Community. Few organizations reflect this principle as well as NOVA Scripts. The team does everything possible to ensure the community they serve is cared for and can understand the materials provided. They research the populations they serve to better understand stigmas around certain health topics and provide medical literature in the community's native language so information is fully understood. Their commitment to community extends beyond their service, it is ingrained from within. From day one, I was welcomed as though I had been part of the team for years, with every member ensuring I adjusted comfortably to the new environment. You are surrounded by passionate individuals driven to create serious change. Considering all of this, it is no wonder I will look back on my time with NOVA Scripts as one of the most impactful experiences of my life, both professionally and as a learner. I STRONGLY recommend anyone with even the slightest interest in healthcare to explore them.

My daughters have both been active with Creative Cauldron through camps and now the Learning Theater Ensemble. What stands out most is the exceptional quality of instruction and the genuine care the directors bring to every rehearsal and performance. Creative Cauldron is a community that nurtures growth, confidence and passion. I am grateful for the dedication of the staff and proud to support an organization that invests so deeply in the next generation of artists. My daughters have so much fun creating friendships with other children interested in theater and learn from the adult actors as well. I highly recommend it for anyone who has a child interested in the arts as well as a great venue for others to see entertaining shows!

I have had the pleasure to work closely with the English Empowerment Center’s instructional team as a professional development provider and partner. I cannot say enough kind words about the teachers and administrative staff. As a whole, they are client-centered, innovative, and reflective. In my work with EEC, I saw a dedication to always providing quality instruction and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for their clients. The work they are doing is vital to the field of adult education!

Northern Virginia Mental Health Foundation has been absolutely wonderful to work with. There are so many gaps in resources/assistance when working with individuals in the community not only to meet basic needs but also to help individuals increase independence and thrive. Northern Virginia Mental Health Foundation steps in to help address these gaps. They are very easy to work with. Every board member I have worked with clearly has the client wellbeing at the heart of their actions while also remaining good stewards for their agency and funds. This organization has helped change the lives of countless individuals to include several of my own.

I had previously heard great things about this charity and signed myself up for a hefty monthly donation, for the past year I had been donating $1000 monthly. Then I had to reach out to get an email confirmation of my donations for tax purposes for 2022. That’s when I realized they are absolutely impossible to reach. Called, emailed for weeks and absolutely no reply. It is so easy to sign yourself up to donate on their website but the only way to stop the donations is to call and when you do there is no reply. I think this is highly suspect for a supposedly reputable charity. I am going to be writing them a physical letter to stop further donations as that seems to be the only way to reach them or to unsubscribe. Beware donating to this charity

We cannot recommend Capital Caring for Hospice services. At 75, I have had plenty of experience with family members and friends who utilized Hospice care in Texas ( not Capital Caring). Besides providing palliative care for the patient, a Hospice is supposed to provide assistance to the family. With a family member now in Hospice care in Virginia, Capital Caring has not offered a Social Worker for the family's emotional needs, and Capital Caring does not provide home health aides to assist the family in the bathing needs of the bed-bound patient. Unacceptable in our opinion.

My missionary aunt strongly supported the BWA and personally introduced me to it as a teen, by helping to sponsor a cousin and me for an international trip to attend one of their worldwide youth meetings. She also brought a team of youth from her mission field church. I saw a multitude of teens from all across the world gathered to worship the Lord in one accord. It was a little preview of Heaven!

MAFRAD is my hope in transforming the lives of many needy. What I admire the most about this organization is that it keeps us up to date regarding how they spend donations, projects they complete in different rural areas supported with pictures, videos, and detailed receipts. So, if you donate to MAFRAD for a specific project, you receive details about your donations goes and how it is spent. I have tried many organizations, but Mafrad is the best by far! Their humanitarian mission is well trusted!

The New Era Educational and Charitable Support Foundation (NEEDCSI) is a phenomenal organization. Through the direction of its visionary leadership, the organization continues to be responsive to community needs and changing landscapes. Its highly competent and professional staff reflect their hearts as they serve the women and men in their multiple programs. I continue to be most impressed by NEEDCSI's commitment and track record of successfully convening community stakeholders at all levels to brainstorm creative solutions that will improve the quality of life for everyone. I have found NEEDCSI as an organization and its staff to be valuable partners in peacebuilding and human development.

My father, Col Mark Stephensen, USAF, was listed as missing in action in April, 1967. My family and I heard no information regarding the fate of my father until April, 1988, when we were advised that his remains had been repatriated and identified. The only reason my father was returned and identified was due entirely to the tireless efforts of National League of POW/MIA Families. This organization, since its inception in 1970, has maintained the highest standards of integrity and organizational honesty. The League has obtained audited financial statements every year since its creation. The League has been CFC qualified for more than 30 years. This organization has been a fair and honest watchdog organization, compelling not only the US government, but also the governments of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, China and Russia, among others to pursue this humanitarian issue with the utmost haste and diligence. The negotiating record with these countries directly attest to the effective and honest dealings the League with all entities. Moreover, the League is held in the highest regard by major veterans service organizations and most senior officials in the Department of Defense and State. The League is the paramount advocate for those families whose missing loved ones remain unaccounted for and deserve every possible effort to bring them back to the United States.

Disaster training was critical to me when I had a house fire and lost everything. Also I was in Springfield after the bombing of the city building. We worked with the Metro authorities at the airports to determine needs in the 90's. I think in the future we need the skills of CPR and First Aid too. So the instructors taught the courses in both Spanish and English at different community events along with disaster preparedness.

I have written grants for WITEF STEM For Her over the last few years for Girls In Technology programs in Virginia and most recently for Loudoun County funding for Sharing Our Success and Vex Robotics. We have been successful in receiving grants to continue the work to encourage passion in girls in grades 3-12 in STEM. We are grateful for their continued support. Thank you!

This is a nonprofit that makes a real difference in people's lives. Homeless families are literally propelled out of poverty!

I found my copy of the "Report to Congress 1997" about the death circumstances of Vince Foster and the Clintons. It is something, at this time, should be re-published and widely distributed and read. BEFORE the POTUS election of 2016. Very insightful, eye opening and frightful. Excellent 40 pages of details unreported in the main media. They have been "protecting" her WAY too LONG!

This agency provides supportive housing to homeless families and families that are homeless due to domestic violence. The staff is genuine and caring. It's not everyday you encounter people that love what they do and it shows!

2Seeds establishes an exceptional culture of service by creating an environment in which each member can live to his or her fullest potential. By leading with its values, 2Seeds is redefining how effective development work and leadership development can be carried out through deep and respectful relationships.

VoA is community based and participatory that provides Mother and Child services using holistic approach to the family development. It has tried to address the economic challenges of the participants through skill training to give them lasting change in their lives. Through ongoing interpersonal development VoA is able to help them crate vision and purpose for their lives. This is a great achievement I have observed.

I am a father of two boys who have been served by the Falls Church - McLean Children's Center. I have been very impressed with several characteristics that set the Center apart. First, they have a very diverse group of kids from many different races and socio-economic backgrounds. That is something that is very important to me, especially in the DC area. I have been very impressed with the amount of field trips that the students take. They take several a month. This is such an excellent differentiator that is so critical to me. I really appreciate the fact that instead of sitting in a classroom all the time, the kids go out, get their hands dirty and explore the amazing things the area has to offer. Of course, the faculty and staff are amazing, caring and many of them have a very long tenure which speaks to me of the good work that they do and what a nice environment it is for everyone.

Over 90% of the funding goes to straight to the people and the remaining 10% goes to poor women who manage feeding centers. The women who work at the feeding center use the salary (roughly 10%) to support their children's needs. None of the management team gets paid at all. <br> <br>The unique aspect of this agency, and other Somali managed agencies, is that their reach and penetration to small villages that other international agencies cannot reach due to limitations of language, culture, familiariy with the area. <br> <br>This NGO is based in the US and registered with the IRS. It manages small elementary school and feeding centers. Because of her medical education, Dr. Sadia wants to establish medical clinic and establish a program similar to barefoot doctors. <br> <br>

Set up was easy and much faster then IRS filings, their admin fees are very low compared to other fiscal sponsers - and they do more then what other organizations do for a higher fee!
