The AIDS Service Center has been serving the needs of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS since 1987, where they started as an answering machine in the basement of All Saints Church in Pasadena, CA. Since then, ASC has grown and changed as the infection, and those infected by it, has changed.
ASC now provides outreach and education, prevention and testing, housing, food distribution, benefits advocacy, and community involvement.
I have been a volunteer with the agency for 12 years and am proud to be connected with an organization that does such good in the community.
