Causes: Arts & Culture, Theater
Mission: The ahwatukee childrens theatre act provides local children and adults education in, appreciation for, and opportunities to participate in all aspects of the performing arts. Act also offers family friendly entertainment to the community at large.
Programs: In 2017, we continued to provide classes, theatrical productions, private vocal lessons and private dance lessons. We are utilizing our newer location and including additional workshops and one-day intensives for our in advanced students. We perform at two venues in the valley, allowing for a wider educational experience for our performing students. Performing at fairs, on tv, retirement communities, and nursing homes allows us to reach out to the community and interact with audiences of all ages. We accommodate and provide lessons for an average of 300 families each year. We also reached out to the salvation army kroc center and began negotiations to partner with their theatrical program.
