Mission: We provide special education and mental health services to children who have developmental, emotional and severe behavioral problems, and support for their families. We do this through our non-public school campuses, after-school outpatient mental health clinics, and partnerships within public school special education classes. Our programs are distinguished by our creative use of a wide variety of resources to meet the individual needs of each child and family.
Programs: Our intensive, individualized programs have been developed specifically to address the issues that face our students. We have the ability to work with these young people on a focused one-to-one level with trained staff and specially designed facilities. Our goal is to help them become more self-reliant with their families, schools, and communities. We have two school campuses, one in San Jose and one in Palo Alto, where we serve children from Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda and Santa Cruz counties. Education and Mental Health programs:
Special Education School Program
Highly structured classrooms offer intensive instruction tailored to individual students with special challenges. Students and staff work together to achieve goals in academic, vocational, behavioral, communication, social and life skills.
Mental Health Outpatient Program
Counselors serve families and students with mental health disorders including schizophrenia, chronic depression, learning or attention deficits, and obsessive/compulsive disorder. Clients can be served as part of their Special Education Program, as an outpatient or services are offered at some local public schools.
