Mission: A faith-based organization, unaffiliated with any church. Incorporated in idaho as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering counseling and focused medical services as well as community outreach, rehabiliation, crisis intervention, education, and psychological evaluations. Our mission is to reach children, adolescents, and adults who are at risk because of various difficulties and problems. Our long-term goal is to reduce the impact of these problems on their lives. Oversight of the family care center is entrusted to a voluntary board of directors made up of local citizens. The organization consists of four distinct entities that carry out the mission and goals.
Programs: City of refuge (cor) - outreach program for displaced men, most of whom are local individuals. Cor provides food, shelter, clothing, and various services to help solve the problems that led to their current predicament. This is a 17 bed facility and thrift shop.
ruth house - traditional housing for women, faith-based temporary housing facility dedicated to providing a healthy environment where material and social resources can be administered to the homeless. The residents can then begin to root themselves while discovering their indentity in the world they live in and become productive citizens in the community-at- large.
