My family loves A Child's Song! Our daughter has blossomed in lessons over the years and enjoys playing the piano so much! If she has a bad day at school, she is even more eager to attend piano lessons as she says it helps her feel better and A Child's Song has become like a second home for her, where she knows she can just be herself. The benefits have been countless, we've seen her self-esteem improve, her concentration and focus both in lessons and at school, she's more calm and disciplined and her overall level of happiness and pride in herself has seen a big boost. We are so grateful to A Child's Song!

Music has been a lifetime love of mine. The earliest song I remember sticking in my head was Elvis Presley's version of Hound Dog. (Well, that and the Howdy Doody theme. (Google it, kids.)) My first leadership experiences were music related when I was the student conductor of both my junior high school choir and concert band. When I discovered A Child's Song, I was immediately drawn to their passionate dedication to giving children the gift of music and a developmental experience that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. It is a joy and an honor to help support A Child's Song's mission as a member of the board of directors. These wonderful people are truly having a profound impact on the children and families of our community.

Can't say enough about A Child's Song's desire to provide the community with opportunities to experience music. My son has been a piano student for over three years and has grown in his skill and comfort to perform. I also greatly admire their community programs where they bring music to those who would not have opportunities otherwise. I hear the stories of how their reach impacts kids and adults alike who can heal while enjoying their time playing some drums or guitar.

Music definitely has the power to heal and help us grow and A Child's Song is supporting our community with the music we need.

I joined the ACS Board of Directors eight years ago after my wife began teaching piano there. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the staff and the methods they use to teach music to all ages, from six months to seniors! ACS' continued emphasis on helping at-risk youth and underserved communities has sealed the deal for me. I thoroughly embrace their mantra of "Music Changes Lives," as I have seen this first-hand in the lives of hundreds of ACS students and their families over the past eight years. I look forward to helping ACS to widen its reach within the community through new programming and fundraising efforts!

I've been at A Child's Song for almost five years now, and I love every minute. I find they've really helped to foster a love for music. I've always felt that A Child's Song has never pressured me or burned me out - in fact, it's kept that intrinsic love for music and learning alive - and as someone who struggles with pacing, that really helps. I'll continue to love A Child's Song for a long time and will always recommend it glowingly to anyone.

We enrolled our granddaughter in piano lessons at A Child's Song two years ago. We have now enrolled our grandson in the Melody Gym program for toddlers. I am a retired public school music teacher, so am picky! I trust my grandchildren will get a good music education experience at A Child's Song. That's why I donate my time by being on the Board.

My daughter and I were so blessed to find A Child's Song over 6 years ago. She was just shy of two years old when we started taking a Melody Gym class and she instantly loved the hands on play and music oriented learning! The custom equipment helped her explore climbing, jumping and other physical development disguised as play, while the music portion introduced her to singing, dancing and the world of instruments available to her. We are still friends with many of the families from that class 6 years later and she is even in group piano lessons with one of the kiddos from her original class. We've come to feel like a part of a musical family at A Child's Song, with their inclusive and inviting environment. My daughter struggles with ADHD and sensory processing challenges, but her teachers Miss Kristen, Miss Leslie and Ms Sandy have always provided loving and accepting support that has provided her with skills that transcend music and have benefitted her in the classroom and at home as well. We look forward to many more years with A Child's Song!

My son is 18 and has Down syndrome. His violin teacher is kind and adapts to whatever my son needs. He loves his lessons. They are the best price around and also have worked with us regarding payment when things got tight. I appreciate A Child's Song very much.

Melody gym is a wonderful opportunity for children to grow and learn in an environment dedicated to music. My son has universal alopecia and struggles to be around other children, within a few months this class has built confidence in him while learning about music. Mrs.Leslie is a wonderful teacher she engages with the children in a helpful and informative manner and has the patients of a saint. The music classes are short and within a time frame that accommodates a small child's attention span. Highly recommended!

After searching the Boulder Denver area for a teacher certified to do Interactive Metronome with our boy we found the only person qualified in the area was Sandy Taylor at A Childs Song at that time located in Westminster. After 2 years of intensive work with Casey and the Interactive Metronome Class we have seen increased focus in Math and all of his Motor functions. We would reccommend A Childs Song for all of their highly qualified teachers and programs.

My little girl has attended Kindermusik and AussieRoo classes at A Child's Song since she was about ten months old. She is now two and a half and we can see the amazing impact these educational classes has had on her physical, emotional and behavioral growth. She is a very strong willed child who was often very resistant to directions and structure, but each teacher in her class remained patient and consistent and willing to help her in any way they could. My daughter is already reading small books and I know that a large reason she is able to do that is because of the work that her educators have done to stimulate her brain all while having so much fun! I am always impressed with how much I learn about my child's growth and development both mentally and physically from her teachers, they are so well-trained it's impressive. I know that I can trust any person at A Child's Song to reach my daughter's fullest potential while loving her exactly as she is. I would recommend any of the classes there to anyone with a child. I am so grateful for them and their service to our family.

My children have both been enrolled with A Child's Song since they were about 18 months old. First we enjoyed the KinderMusic curriculum that was taught by their very nurturing educators. Since my younger child was very active and seemed to struggle with fine motor development, they were always gracious about suggesting at home activities to stimulate brain development to help with her issues. At the age of 7 she was diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADD.

Currently my daughters are 10 & 8 years old and are enrolled in The Studio's piano lessons. This last year I have enjoy watching my 8 year old overcome symptoms of dyslexia through learning to read music and "work her brain" with the cross-lateral hand movements of playing the piano. We also experienced The IM (Interactive Metronome) program last summer and are pleased with how it helped my daughter to improve her focus and attention.

I would highly recommend A Child's Song to any new parent. Music and movement used together at an early age are a wonderful enhancement to any child's development. The KinderMusic classes are also an amazing bonding experience for both parent and child. Both my children currently love to play and practice piano. Thanks to Sandy and all the staff for their wonderful contribution to the lives and for cultivating a love a music that will last their whole lives. You are amazing!

As parents of adopted children we were keenly aware of the high likelihood of fetal alcohol and drug exposure. We knew that proper musical and physical activity could help stimulate brain development during those early years. 2 of our 7 adopted kids have been students at A Child's Song since birth. We feel that it was a significant contributor to their happy and healthy childhood. As the kids grew we moved them into piano and then into other activities like voice and drama... oh well, no guitar players... I am also on the board and an officer, so I have seen similar results for many kids over the years. There is also a significant impact to the entire family as moms and dads take part in the activities with the kids! It is a great experience and truly beneficial!

My shy 11 year old daughter came to A Child's Song, Inc. with a simple desire to learn to play the guitar. She has learned more than guitar notes and chords. With the guidance from A Child's Song she has started to write and play her own songs and perform confindentially in front of others.

I've devoted a huge part of my life helping to further the cause of A Child's Song because I so believe in the power of music in developing the brain at all ages. This organization uses music as it should be used - to teach, develop, encourage, and empower individuals to enjoy and experience music to its fullest!
