Causes: Human Services, Thrift Shops
Mission: To provide a source of sustainable funding to local 501(c)(3) organizations in our community. To provide a place for citizens to recycle and reuse household items.
Programs: 11 jewish non-profit agencies and synagogues were presented checks that totaled $7,500. The amount of the contribution to each agency was based on the donations received by and the hours volunteered by their constituents. Those agencies serve religious, spiritual, social, medical and recreational needs in our community. Those non-profits include the jewish community foundation of southern arizona, hadassah soaz, tucson jewish community center, temple emanu-el, tucson hebrew academy, merkos chabad of tucson, congregation anshei israel, jewish history museum, jewish federation of southern arizona and the bnai brith covenant house.
