I recommend this organization. Their outreach at health fairs is clear, educational, and the information is given in Spanish and English. The brochures are normal size and clear for the public to read when they have them in their hand.

Helaco makes referrals / orientation (Depending on the type of insurance the person has) and (if they do not have insurance, Helaco indicates where they should go to obtain low-cost services) to different hospitals or health centers/general practitioners depending on the needs presented in the outreach (Health fairs)

Healthy Latino Community is a non-profit corporation founded on sound moral principles and values. Its mission is to contribute, collaborate, educate, and respond to the health care needs of the community by offering integral quality solutions designed to improve the quality of life of Latinos. Our agency will highlight initiatives dedicated to eliminating the stigma and taboo associated with being afflicted with HIV/AIDS within our Latin-American and Caribbean Communities in USA.
We strive to fulfill our mission with integral financial transparency, working in the fields of information, education and prevention, in accordance with the norms established by the Health Department, New York State, and the National Commission on AIDS, and other federal and state programs and organizations, in defense Latino health on Long Island, New York and Nationwide.

We seek to contribute in this way to finding a solution for the common good, disseminating information, providing referrals, and improving access for Latinos to continue or enroll in health care programs sponsored by the State of New York, and assisting also patients afflicted with HIV/AIDS. We strive to preserve the health of our community in USA.
