Wonderful staff/volunteers, providing services like mail, clothing, meals and prayers which are <br>1. Desperately Needed <br>2. Greatly Appreciated <br>3. Often Amazing Quality <br>The problem is that the psychopaths and criminals are actually encouraged to “perform” - they are almost never reprimanded until there is bloodshed — even with the PD a 5-minute walk away and, more recently, with a Security Guard (who literally does nothing but watch the gate to keep people out of the street). <br>It’s similar to a prison, probably, where the more wild and out-of-control and criminally insane they are, the more they’re rewarded and “loved” and treated as “special”. Allowed to block pathways and jump food lines, throw things, go behind the serving tables and touch all the fruit and water bottles with nasty hands and no mask on, for example, while the staff smiles, like they’ll have something fun to talk about or pray about when they go home. <br>Again, wild behavior is actually encouraged. Like they’re performing on a stage for their hosts’ entertainment. No question, even if drugged, they know exactly what they are doing. Definitely sexual battery and grabbing body parts and yelling and cursing and hitting strangers - while the meek ones cheer them and the staff watches with evident appreciation. I’ve seen a kid punched so hard - by a stranger - that his eyes crossed. It’s good food, but VERY HIGH RISK, especially during the Pandemic, with all the spitting, cursing, touching, flinging about, and fights. The only way to prevent assault is to violently defend yourself, and go to jail yourself!

4Life is my favorite rescue to work with! They care so much about each animal they take in, and screen to ensure they are finding the best possible fit for the animals needs! They also support their adopters with training and advise the entire life of the dog!

We hosted and promoted this very worthy cause at our last Vintage market! They came up with an inviting and creative booth to raise money & gather supplies to help dog rescues in surrounding areas. The volunteers worked tirelessly and were a pleasure to work with. We could definitely feel how passionate & dedicated they are in making a difference in easing the burden of Rescues in supplying goods to "fur babies" in need.

Helped so much during my time of fostering and now with my son whose 2 in obtaining diapers and much more! Super kind people as well ❤

I've been involved with many non-profits, but non like ABC Hopes. In all honesty, ABC Hopes is what a non-profit, that genuinely cares about giving Hope, should be. ABC Hopes, All Because Christopher Hopes... They've gone above and beyond their mission statement and have inspired so many through their service to the community as a whole. What makes them different is that they are about helping everyone and anyone not just their members, truly giving Hope. They have a regular fundraising event, Row-A-Thon where people from all walks of life come together. At these events they've helped new non-profits get their start. they've helped families in need, they've had recipients with illnesses. This to me is a beautiful because, as I mentioned, I've worked with other organizations and all are so guarded with their donors/connections fearing they'll lose a donation. Some organizations can be a little scary. Witnessing ABC Hopes' selfless approach first hand, has inspired myself and many others to go above and beyond, being a positive contagious influence to those around us.

i was down on my luck but then i found out they were giving away hygiene packs for those that are less fortunate. the pack they gave me was heaven-sent. it helped me save some money that i have been lacking. i thank God i found them. and the staff working there were very nice too

I adopted a rescue dog from OCpoundhounds. They are the real deal. They rescue hard many hard-to-place dogs, often on death row, by finding individuals willing to foster in their homes. They have an application review process and home check to ensure dogs are placed in quality forever homes. Highly recommend.

Standby Task Force is an organization which plays an important role in delivering a potentially life-saving information to the humanitarian responders by producing various types reports, crisis maps or information spreadsheets . It does so by engaging online volunteers from all around the world, who commit their free time in order to help those affected by the humanitarian crisis. As a member of SBTF for almost a year, I have had a chance to collaborate on 2015 Nepal Earthquake mission as well as in post-disaster Vanuatu cyclone mapping. In both cases, it was really eye-opening to see how big change the volunteers can make when collaborating together for the good purpose. I feel proud being a part of such a big family and strongly encourage anyone who feels like helping others to join our team!

I am beginning my fourth year as a member of Assistance League of Orange. I have been a volunteer my entire life starting with selling "Lollipops to Lick Cancer" when I was a freshman in High School. I have continued to be a volunteer for my entire life. <br> <br>The women in Assistance League are the most amazing women I have encountered. The amount of dedication, cooperation and hours spent toward our common goal is unmatched in any organization I have previously been involved with. The work that we do to help improve the lives of men, women and children in the city of Orange is commendable. We help people in all walks of life. And we do it with a smile. <br> <br>I feel good every week when I go to an elementary school as part of HALOS (Helping Little Ones Suceed) and help them with their reading skills. And, I feel good when I put price tags on donated clothing to sell in our thrift shop because our Thrift Shop is a major source of funding. And I am proud to be part of our Links to Learning Program that grants Middle School teachers funds to start new programs and/or aid students in new and creative ways. Assistance League does much more, these are the programs I am involved in on a weekly and monthly basis. <br> <br>If you are looking for a way to make a difference, I highly recommend Assistance League of Orange. <br> <br>

I am proud to support Providence Speech & Hearing Center! Orange County is fortunate to have an organization like Providence whose leadership is forward-thinking and dedicated to such a high level of excellence!

I serve as a Troop Committee & District Committee member and marvel at how this organization continues to make a difference by insuring that the young understand the Scout Law and the Scout Oath which will carry them thru ever more throughout their lives--being witness to history!! :-)

My family and a friend and part of her family have helped on Tuesday sorting and preparing literally tons of food that gets donated and then on Wednesday getting it packaged for handing out to the hundreds of people who line up starting in the pre-dawn hours. <br>The other volunteers welcomed us warmly and made us feel appreciated and all showed us what needed done and helped us plug in quickly. That so many volunteers work together as a team in harmony in what one of the volunteers called organized chaos was inspiring. A lot of smiles and encouragement are visible. <br>The recipients of the food from the pantry vary from babies and toddlers hanging on to moms skirt to elderly widows and widowers. Husbands and fathers asking for help for their families. Worried mothers grateful for something to feed their children. <br>It was heartwarming and inspiring to have the distinct pleasure of teaming up together with this great group of volunteers and non-profit organization and myself and my family are blessed to get to be a part of it.

They have a lot of counseling services to offer and it changed my life. The staff at the desk were very friendly and my counselor really understood me and helped me a lot. I couldn't have gotten through my struggles without them. They worked with my fee because I wasn't working at the time.

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Orange County is part of a large network that helps children in foster care. Volunteers like me spend time with a child or youth who is overseen by the Juvenile Court System. The Special Advocates are able to know the child's wants and needs and make them known to the court in ways that professionals often cannot due to their large caseloads. CASA makes permanence a priority for the children because research has found that many shifts in placement are not helpful. The volunteer Special Advocates work with professionals for what is best for the children.

Friendly Center is great asset to the community, providing many services to people who need them the most. As a volunteer in one of the tutoring programs, I have worked with many students over the past couple of years, and the program provides elementary, middle school, and high school students access to diverse group of tutors on a wide range of subject matter, as well as access to school supplies and computers, which many of the students do not have at home.

CIBD is a place for children and adults can go to for their rare, chronic blood disorders. The fact that it is now a community clinic has made it so much more accessible. As a provider, I am able to readily refer patients to CIBD and they can be seen immediately. This is rare for subspeciality clinics, where it can take months to get an appointment for clinics affiliated with a hospital. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and they bring in their entire comprehensive team to see every patient- Physician, Nurse, Social Worker, Physical Therapist, Pyschologist and Pharmacist. They take care of every need at the visit. We are ecstatic to have CIBD available for our patients with blood disorders!

I have long supported this organization through both volunteering and financial resources. LSS Community Care Centers serve the poor, homeless, almost homeless with groceries, clothing, counseling, budgeting, finding housing, mental health programs, showers and so many other things. LSS has a very small management group and many volunteers, so your donations are not swallowed up in administration, but actually get to those in need.

The folks at this location are so professional and kind. I am a recent transplant to the area, but without having landed a job, I also do not have health insurance. Thank goodness for Planned Parenthood, I was able to receive help selecting a birth control method so my husband and I can make sure we are "planning our parenthood." <br> <br>I am so grateful to PP and all the work they do with physical exams, birth control, STD prevention and treatment, cancer screenings, etc. The list goes on--there is something at PP for everyone!

Friends of OPL raise money to support our Library and History Center by selling used books at a store inside the library building. In the past two years, Friends of OPL has donated over $50,000 to the library plus granting $5000 towards digitalization of items in the History Center. <br>the Officers and our forty-some volunteers give their time and effort without pay. We are always looking for book lovers who are willing to volunteer three hours a week to help our Library.

Our housing nonprofit has had a relationship with NHS from its inception in 1977 as Jim Yacenda, NHS Executive Director in 1977 was involved in the formation of our nonprofit. NHSOC has been instrumental in many of our renters and employees becoming homeowners. They have exceptional tools and knowledge. We just completed a successful collaboration in the development of single family homes in Santa Ana that now house low income first time homeowners who were assisted by NHSOC. They are an extremely valuable resource to our Orange County community.
