4Life is my favorite rescue to work with! They care so much about each animal they take in, and screen to ensure they are finding the best possible fit for the animals needs! They also support their adopters with training and advise the entire life of the dog!

4Life Animal Rescue is very close to my heart! We have the best, most caring volunteers who truly go above and beyond to help our homeless pets in need. From the fosters who take these pets into their homes and show them what love is, to the trainers that help us work with and rehabilitate out most difficult cases. Working with 4Life Animal Rescue is truly one of the joy's in my life.
4Life Animal Rescue has been there for me and my family in the most difficult of times (serious illness) and the in the most wonderful of times (adopting our new family member).
This rescue doesn't care whether you adopt their dogs. They helped me find a dog from another rescue. Why? Because their main purpose is getting dogs into loving homes.
I can't thank them enough for their kindness and dedication!

This animal rescue goes above and beyond for its furry friends. I volunteered as a dog socializer for an adult male dog who was too much for his foster mom to handle on leash. When I told the rescue about my concerns, they immediately stepped up to help his foster mom and got that handsome pup professional training. He is now happy, healthy, properly trained and in his 4Life home. This organization rocks!
I've been volunteering with 4Life Animal Rescue for about 3 years now. This group is my first experience with animal rescue and I have learned so much! It's been both wonderfully rewarding and seriously heartbreaking, but throughout my time, I have never doubted this group's commitment to helping wherever they can. It's a wonderful group of people to be associated with.

Our 8 year-old pitbull that we had adopted about 9 months earlier had separation anxiety so we wanted to find him a companion. We were a little nervous because we had always been a one-dog household and we wanted to find a good match for our boy. We met with Teri and she listened to our concerns and talked to us about what type of personality we would be looking for. A couple of weeks later, she sent us pics and info on a dog in one of the shelters. She went with us to meet her, followed us home so we could make proper introductions with our dog and has been available for anything we needed. Great organization!
Always there for me and the animals when needed! Need a temporary solution or a permanent one? This group gets it done! I’ve been a volunteer with 4life for 8 years now. Dedicated volunteers making a difference everyday!
Being a part of the Foster program has been an absolute joy. Helping these furry kids find homes, while working with super organized, compassionate people is really a highlight in my life!
I’ve fostered many animals with them and they were 100% dedicated to getting them healthy, well trained, and in the perfect loving home. They are very supportive and there for their fosters regarding questions and concerns at all hours.
I’ve fostered for a few other rescues and they were the most committed I felt.
4Life Animal Rescue is a dedicated group of volunteers. I joined in 2018. Not only do I love contributing to the rescue of animals but we adopted this fun boy. This group truly cares about their fosters and volunteers. A great animal rescue community.
This is the greatest non profit around! I have fostered probably 10 for them. They love and let live! Such gentle hearts and always on the other end of of the phone 24/7. Just amazing! I love #4liferescue
I was introduced to 4 Life Animal Rescue in January 2015, while looking for help to rehome an abandoned dog I had agreed to foster for 6 months. 4 Life came out right away, and explained how they work, and made sure my home was a safe place to continue fostering under them. I agreed to bring my foster to as many adoption events as possible. Each event was a learning experience in the rescue world. There was usually a trainer at the event, to help assess and teach and educate. As time went on, I fostered more dogs for 4 Life Animal Rescue and of course got more involved in different aspects of the Rescue. Meeting 4 Life Animal Rescue has changed my life, by how much I have learned about dogs, training, meet & greets, dog owners, dog illnesses, training tools, dog food, and people! I have stayed involved in rescue for over 4 years now, and I owe my knowledge and experience to 4 Life Animal Rescue!

I learned about 4LifeAnimalRescue from a friend who adopted her dog from the organization. Her dog Rocco, was a "guard dog" at an auto body shop in Bellflower. He had minimal human contact and his food was just thrown on the ground. When 4Life learned about him, they were relentless with the owner until he gave up Rocco (along with his brother). I then started following 4Life through social media. I eventually met the charity organizers when I went to an adoption event. I met the strong women who cared so much for Rocco's safety and well being. Teri and Mitzi are so compassionate and hard working, their stories convinced me they were Wonder Women!!! I was inspired to volunteer for them. I've always been a dog lover, but 4Life Rescue sparked a desire to take action to rescue the beautiful souls that rely on our care and compassion.
I have worked with 4Life Animal Rescue as a foster. They are amazing and truly care about all the animals they rescue. Going out of their way to find homes, provide for medical needs and constant events to expose all their animals to possible adopters is never ending! I would recommend this rescue to all looking to find a new companion for their homes and anyone looking to foster!
This rescue was one of my best fostering experiences I've had put of 20+ dogs/cats I've fostered. They were always available when I needed advice, and were just as concerned as I was when one of my fosters became mysteriously ill. They pulled out all the stops to ensure my foster got 100% the best care, and she got better again. They are 100% devoted to their dogs and volunteers. I can't say enough good about them. I've fostered with many rescues and they are the best.
4 Life is one of he greatest non-profits I’ve been able to volunteer for. Their full focus is on saving lives and nothing else. The animals always come first. No dog that ever comes through the rescue receives anything but the absolute best care and all the love in the world. They make a tangible difference every day in the lives of so many dogs who are looking for their forever home.
4 Life is a relatively small rescue but all the volunteers and rescuers have HUGE hearts. Funds are always tight with a small rescue, but 4Life gets it done through various means (donations, events, and fundraisers) to help those animals who need it the most. 4Life also does a great job of making sure to pair the right dogs with the right "pack" to ensure a successful fur-ever home 4Life!

There's a common phrase "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog". 4Life rescue fulfills this mantra to a "T". 4Life rescue is a small operation comprised of people with big hearts willing to open their homes and hearts to those who have no voice, the shelter animal. 4Life rescue gives a second chance to animals in shelters that have been neglected by society, but deserve all the love in the world. A shelter animal has been abandoned by the world and left with no hope. However, they [the shelter animal] continue to put up a "fight" no matter their size and open their hearts once more to a world that turned their back on them and left them behind. 4Life Rescue is that doorway back in to a world that otherwise may not have been opened. 4Life Rescue and all it's volunteers, though small in operation size, "fight" equally as hard as those they are trying to save. There is another saying that goes "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts". 4Life Rescue may be small in size, but just like it's [4Life] heart, the community and all it's individual parts (i.e. founder, fosters, volunteers, donors, and the rescues themselves) come together to make an incredible family that would be incomplete and "lost" without all of it's parts. Now, combine the size of 4Life Rescue's heart in the "rescue fight" with the sum of all of the components it's amazing family and you get an incredible rescue purely dedicated to saving the live's of those that crave only your love (and maybe a few treats and belly rubs on the side).
It has been my luck and absolute pleasure to have been a foster for 4life Animal Rescue. I love that this rescue treats every animal as a valuable soul, regardless of its age or condition. I have so much respect and admiration for the tireless job and dedication these people have on a day to day basis as they continue to save lives.
One of my favorite foster memories is layna, a blind senior that was so unsure of what was happening to her that she cried for the first few days. As she became comfortable, her true colors emerged as she bravely learned to navigate the stairs. She is in a wonderful loving home where she is thriving.
Thank you 4Life for all you do❤️
I love to donate my time every chance I get and help out this Rescue, this is a Great group to work with! They really care about the animals and the volunteers make sure the animals get a good loving forever home. They do so much in the back ground that no one really sees. From walking the pups, going to pounds to help out ones in need to save lives and finding a foster to care for them till they are adopted out, to writing articles, answering questions and updates on each pup or cat, taking the animals to event's, Dr. apt. to training a dog and some go to a trainer and on top of that constantly raising funds for the ones in need of medical attention. I have had the opportunity to adopt two of my own from 4Life Animal Rescue and feel the rewards of getting many pups adopted out too! It is truly rewarding and I love the hearts and dedication that goes into this rescue. They truly are saving lives!!! So many opportunities to get involved and help such as adopt, donate your time, donate funds or even foster! Thank you 4Life for all you have done!
Just started fostering for 4life Animal Rescue & loving being able to help a shelter pup find a permanent home. Excited to help out a wonderful organization dedicated to saving lives of all the animals in need!
Our family has been so blessed by 4life rescue! 1/1/17 we adopted Penny! We had put one of our dogs down to an unfortunate illness and I was devastated, saying I couldn't ever replace her. Then my husband showed me the photo of Pretty Penny. I couldn't stop thinking about her! We communicated with Mitzi from 4life and Claire, Penny's foster mama. They went above & beyond for us. We had meet and greets at a park and then our home. 4life brought along professional dog trainers each time to monitor the personality & behavioral cues so that we could have the best fit and safest transition. We couldn't be happier! Every safeguard was put in place and that was of utmost importance bringing a new dog into an already established pack. I recommend 4life rescue to everyone I know, their name says it all-4life
4Life Animal Rescue is a great rescue! I have been volunteering as a foster for them for a little over a year. Teri, and many others work tirelessly to save as many animals as they can. They do whatever it takes to make sure these animals find a home 4Life. They are completely invested in each animal, making sure all needs are met, to make sure adopters are getting a healthy and happy pet. It has been a truly rewarding experience for my entire family! Attached is a picture of our first foster, Tazz. Who can resist that puppy dog face!
All rescues are special, but 4 Life is truly a blessing. Putting the interest of all animals first & really focusing on the bully breeds who are often overlooked. Keep it up 4Life!
Hard working, always going the extra mile to do whatever an animal needs to thrive. Great tireless organization that deserves to be recognized for all the great work that they do!!!!!
This only allows me to include 4 images max but Teri with 4Life Animal Rescue has helped countless more of other dogs and cats that I reached out for help personally over the years because of their situation with their owners, being homeless, highly neglected, etc. Teri is someone who I highly respect and trust as a person and rescuer, and she doesn't turn away dogs that are perceived as being difficult, aggressive or unadoptable to others as long as there's a foster in place. 4Life provides all medical needs and training to each animal in their care until adopted to the right home. This rescue screens well, does homechecks and takes back any animal from an adopter at any time so they don't end up in the same situation as in the past which puts their life at risk... but of course it's their goal to avoid this situation by screening well. 4Life Animal Rescue is literally one of the best rescues out there and I'm SO proud to volunteer for them whenever possible. Go Team 4Life!!!!

4Life Animal Rescue is one of the best dog and cat rescues that focus on helping all breeds, but have a great love and understanding for pitbulls which I personally appreciate. They save animals from shelters, strays, owner surrenders, etc. They strive on getting them into good foster homes, offer training, and give them all the love and support needed to find them their perfect forever home. They screen all applicants, do home checks, follow ups, and always takes the animals back into their care if an adopter returns them for any reason or time. I truly respect and trust the founders of 4Life and enjoy being part of such a great team of volunteers.
I moved ro california from chicago and was horrified to see how bad the homeless pet situation was here.. 4life and the amazing people who run it helped restore a little bit of my faith in humanity. They are responsible and caring, and do everything they can to help fur babies in need. The world is a better place because of this rescue.
Awesome volunteers full of caring compassion. It really is all about the animals. They really have their act together. I've seen some terrific things happen thru this group.
4Life Animal Rescue is an amazing volunteer run organization. They go above and beyond for the animals that they rescue and always make sure that the animals and adopters are a loving and healthy match.
I love this rescue. They are highly dedicated to the animals they take on. I also really love that they help animals that are not even with their rescue through their community outreach support. They help owners who can no longer keep their dog or cat to find a new home. They assist them through the adoption process, and even will help with introducing the adopters' dogs to the dog needing rehomed. They simply care about all animals.
I came to know 4Life Animal Rescue because they helped me with a pit bull I had rescued from the shelter. They helped me find him a home. I was so appreciative of their help and their genuine concern for the dog I had saved that I became a volunteer with the rescue. They stand by their dogs through medical issues that might arise and through any behavioral issues that might arise and provide intensive training and socialization for the dogs who need it in order to be successfully adopted out. They have rehabilitated several dogs through a board and train program.
4Life Animal Rescue is a top notch rescue and I am honored to be part of such a fine organization.
4Life Animal Rescue was formed by intelligent and caring people. The services they provide are greatly needed in our community.
4Life is the most amazing rescue I have ever had the pleasure of working with, which is why I work/ volunteer with them as much as I can! The animals they rescue are usually the ones no one wants or have medical issues, 4life heals and cares for these animals and bring out in them the perfection they are. They spare no cost or time oe emotional support in every aspect. It is a true blessing to watch what the 4 life team does on a daily basis. Truly selfless and loving people at 4life... and the animals they rescue, well, you wont find a better pooch around after 4life works their magic (love)
This is a wonderful Rescue comprised of great people who are easy and fun to work with! Teri (The owner) works SO hard for the animals and people of 4Life!
4life Animal Rescue is an amazing, caring, giving rescue. 4 Life is there for the animals when no others are. 4life never turns their back on a animal in need. Thank you 4life Animal Rescue for all that you do.
The 4Life team is the nicest group of hard working individuals. Everyone is dedicated to helping both the animals and the humans to find the perfect combination.
Amazing rescue that does amazing things for local homeless dogs and cats. They are 100% dedicated to the welfare of the animals they take in and do whatever it takes to get them into their Pete t forever homes. Love them!!
A wonderful rescue full of caring people who are dedicated to saving lives. I am very honored and proud to be a part of the 4Life family. And that's just what it is...a family.
I first heard about 4Life Rescue from a word of mouth through the veterinarian that I take my precious dogs to. At that moment, I was an independent "dog rehab/rescuer" and I had just pulled a female Pitbull mix from Inland Valley Humane Society (Pomona Animal Shelter) who was placed on the euth list due to lack of interest.
It all started off with a simple e-mail to one of their coordinators, and within a few days, my foster dog was listed as a courtesy dog under their rescue. They helped me post on PetFinder, their Facebook, and other pet websites. Well, my foster dog had 6 applicants after they helped me post her, and they also helped me screen the interested parties during the process. In addition, they invited me to join their adoption events for more exposure! I never made it to an adoption event, since, within those 6 applicants, my foster dog had found a forever home! Not once did 4Life Rescue ask me for a reimbursement of payment, adoption fee, or anything in return. Their goal, was the same as mines; and that was to place a loving, deserving dog into a home for life.
I highly recommend this rescue to anyone looking to volunteer, work, or foster, or adopt from!
They need us, as much as we need them, and their passion to rescue, and to save lives is truly their goal!
I've volunteered for several rescue groups over several years in both hemispheres, literally. 4Life is one of the most effective, organized and dedicated group of volunteers I've encountered. The animal comes first and egos play no part in the chain of events that occur from rescue to adoption. Their success in placing hard-to-place and special needs animals is also very high. This is a very balanced, dedicated and successful group that I am proud to be a part of. I just can't endorse them enough.
I Liked 4Life Animal Rescue on Facebook and in the process helped Lucy to find a wonderful home.
Two ladies came out and did a home inspection, met the family and brought Lucy to her forever home that day.
Lucy was very well taken care of in her foster home and is being spoiled rotten. If it had not been for Facebook and 4Life, Lucy would not be the spoiled rotten puppy she is today and our friend would not have the joy of having Lucy in his life.
Thank you 4Life Animal Rescue!
We adopted our sweet american bulldog mix from this rescue. They do a great job fostering the dogs they save and finding them forever homes. They don't discriminate by breed or type of animal. They just help animals find forever homes.
We adopted our rescue Shelby from 4Life and they are fantastic! We love her and would definitely adopt through them again. They love the dogs they help and do a great job of working with the potential adopter and also helping these animals at the same time. They have helped numerous dogs who have had medical issues also. They are the best!!!!
A friend of a friend connected me to 4Life Animal Rescue. I have fostered for years and was finally looking for a reputable group to partner with. Teri and the rest of the group have been fantastic to work with. They understand my gifts and limitations. They help without being pushy. They are all friendly and welcoming. This is a top notch group and I'm proud that I was able to join the 4Life family.
