Causes: Arts & Culture, Arts, Culture & Humanities, Children & Youth, Youth Development - Religious Leadership
Mission: The mission of Body Ministry is to provide for the practical and spiritual needs of those in our community; while inspiring, encouraging, and empowering those in our community and abroad to know their worth and to fulfill their God-given destiny.
Results: Donated 75 Cancer Care Gifts Sets to the following organizations * Huntsville Cancer Center * Patricia Haley Charity * Made a $100 donation to the Community Awareness for Youth for school supplies * Sponsored the “Dare to be Queen” 5-week Workshop at the Kingdom * for 13 girls at Sequel October 12th – November 9th. * Partnered with the GHIMF to provided 40 Christmas Gifts to the girls at Sequel * Sponsored the Live Out Your Life One Day Youth Conference. *Sponsored a water drive for the Flint Michigan water crisis. Delivered 4 track trailer loads of water to the residents.
Target demographics: those in our community with an emphasis on women and youth.
Direct beneficiaries per year: ~100 youth, 200+ adults for various reasons
Geographic areas served: Madison, AL and surrounding areas, and beyond.
Programs: Empowerment workshops such as the Broken, Repaired & Useable Workshop, and the Dare to be Queen/King Workshops for Youth. We also provide cancer care gift sets for survivors. We also support local outreach events to support the homeless by providing need toiletries, clothes, etc. We celebrate those who are cancer survivors, domestic violence survivors, and those who have overcome insurmountable challenges at the annual I AM A SURVIVOR GALA that we sponsor.
