Heartfelt gratitude to SHEA charity. My son has be diagnosed with a rare cancer starting this year and my husband and I were told about this charity. Shea charity took up my son's case and fought in every way they could so that he can get the care and treatment he needed. My son Munesh is still currently in their care along with his dad, and their well taken care of (meaning interms of allowances,clothing,food stuff,etc)by the founder herself along with other volunteers.Their not enough words to express how thankful my husband and I are to SHEA for taking our son under their care, and is still continuing to do so. I am forever grateful to SHEA organisation for the help I get for my son Safraz. Safraz was suffering from a rare eye disorder which was causing him to lose his vision. The doctor in Guyana said there is no treatment for him. I had lost all hope in getting help but SHEA has bring light in my son and my family life. I must say I am grateful to Fabian and Lori for there patience and kindness to guide me in everything I didn't understand. SHEA is a hope for those who doesn't have any left. I can’t think of another way to applaud this organization for all that they do and done thus far in the support of all the kids in need of assistance and their families in getting the medical support at times very critical, even saving lives. I was fortunate enough to receive help from SHEA organisation. I could remember when I had lost all hope in getting help for my son Aden SHEA organisation became that saving lifeline. I must say I'm forever grateful to SHEA organisation especially to Sita Sugrim and Lori Narine who has been my stronghold throughout getting medical help for Aden. Sita Sugrim is a woman of great patience. I didn't understand everything thorough but she guided me along every step I needed to know and things I had to do without a budge. Lori Narine,upon our visits for Aden treatment became the favourite aunt of his. She spoilt him with so much love and care he cried when they parted. I must say my husband and I were treated with kindness beyond measures we couldn't even imagined coming from total strangers from SHEA organisation. Here I am writing this review with a grateful heart and filled with gratitude thanking SHEA and its members for all the good they have done and are doing for the little lives they keep saving everyday.
SHEA organization have a made significant impact into the lives of so many children and adults in Guyana ,especially those that are less fortunate and can't afford treatment to save their lives .I wish I had an organization like SHEA when my daughter was diagnosed with cancer. Everything is taken care of you don't have to worry about medical expenses and that by it self is a relief. I have continued to see the remarkable recovery of patients that SHEA have helped through out the years.Thank you to Lori and the members.

I have been donating and following SHEA for years. Guyana is a small country where we tend to know each other through our inner circle. I can attest to the fact that SHEA is 100 % trustworthy, its founder Lori is dedicated, and reliable and every cent we donate goes back to the kids and family she helps.
I recently started volunteering for SHEA and now have seen firsthand my donations at work, the care and dedication of SHEA for each case it takes on.

I attended and helped with little tasks at one of SHEA’s annual charity dinners and I must say it was beautiful to see how many people came together to support SHEA’s cause. It is admirable to see how SHEA has helped so many kids obtain the proper healthcare that they truly needed. My family absolutely admire Lori for the personal drive she brings towards SHEA’s cause. I was fortunate enough to witness Shea charity in action, when I visited Guyana some years ago. I was touched by the care, committment, dedication and honesty that is put into each of their cases. The team of members are such remarkable people who dedicate their time and energy into each of the cases. I truly believe in this charity and what it stands for.
Shea is very personal and very close to my heart. I lost my niece at a tender age of 4 to Leukemia because she was unable to get medical treatment in Guyana. Shea has been helping many children to make sure they don’t suffer the same faith as my niece. Medical treatment is a luxury to the poor and that’s why I support Shea because Shea is securing medical treatment and saving lives. Shea is a sign of hope for those who doesn’t have any left.

I am so grateful for SHEA and it’s group of selfless volunteers. I learned about SHEA about three and half years ago by accident when I saw Bhojpaul Ramjas’s story on a Facebook post. I reached out to SHEA to learn more and that’s when I found out that Shea’s founder, Lori was funding housing and meals for this case out of her own pocket because the hospital was only covering the medical costs, I decided then that I had to do my part as well. As a nonprofit organization your organization are doing a great job by helping others and saving lifes.
SHEA makes it possible for the less fortunate to have urgent medical attention. SHEA covers the costs of everything pertaining to the patients' treatment inclusive of passports, visas, surgeries, hospitalizations, medications, food, accommodations and follow up visits. SHEA also covers the expenses of a close relative to travel with the patient inclusive of passport (in some cases), visa, accommodation, meals etc. SHEA ensures patients are well taken care of and that they receive the prescribed treatments. SHEA saved and continues to save tbe lives of many. May God continue to bless SHEA and make it easy for them to continue helping the less fortunate. Long live SHEA.

I have been priviledged to witness the healing that my contribution and efforts make. Seeing a child go from being bedridden to horsing around, a mother able to see her children's beautiful faces again, a boy getting the opportunity to be a student,makes it all worth doing.
We all want a second chance to live a normal life,and that is what SHEA is about .. SHEA,stepped in and helped child who felt that only death can take his pain and suffering away,and said child is now back in school , he is able ride a bike , play with his peers , and help around the house after being bed ridden for two long years..

The SHEA team is small but they are powerful and relentless in their drive to help those in need. Their success is seen in the results that they have delivered since their inception. As a team, they never give up, even when their is little hope and numerous hurdles. 100% of all donations go to patient care and related expenses. I would continue to support this organization as long as I am able to.
I first learned about SHEA from a video on facebook. It was about a young boy who had lost his father in an accident. He had to come out of school as a result of financial hardships his family endured as a direct result of his father's death. The story touched me and so I looked into SHEA to learn more. I saw that they brought a girl from Guyana to New York to undergo cancer treatments and that she was recovering well. Being I myself was born in Guyana I knew this young girl would have probably not made it if it was not for SHEA stepping in. So I shared the video with friends and family, told everyone I knew from Guyana about SHEA and created a fundraiser for my birthday through facebook to benefit SHEA. The funds exceeded my goal amount. I believe so much in what they do that I am including SHEA in the list of organizations I support financially.
