My Nonprofit Reviews

I first learned about SHEA from a video on facebook. It was about a young boy who had lost his father in an accident. He had to come out of school as a result of financial hardships his family endured as a direct result of his father's death. The story touched me and so I looked into SHEA to learn more. I saw that they brought a girl from Guyana to New York to undergo cancer treatments and that she was recovering well. Being I myself was born in Guyana I knew this young girl would have probably not made it if it was not for SHEA stepping in. So I shared the video with friends and family, told everyone I knew from Guyana about SHEA and created a fundraiser for my birthday through facebook to benefit SHEA. The funds exceeded my goal amount. I believe so much in what they do that I am including SHEA in the list of organizations I support financially.
