Our troops and their families sacrifice so much for us. This charity boosts troop morale everyday. I asked my SIL's best friend what it meant to get a package while he was deployed in Iraq & Afghanistan. Tears welled up. "Everything" was all this 6'3" 225lb Marine could say. Our military needs this charity! Every penny goes to them! It makes a huge difference to morale. Our troops fight with heart & soul. HHF feeds their heart & soul. Give HHF a look & donate! It means something to those boots on the ground!!!

We are a military family and our brother was blessed that we were able to send him care packages and things he couldn't get when he was stationed overseas. I can't imagine his name never being called and how that would feel. This is a top shelf charity that our family and circle of friends feel really good about donating to.

I found this charity while scrolling through Twitter. Being a Navy veteran I became interested in their mission to support active duty and their families via care kits It's not often you come across such a caring organization. They deserve a hand salute for their outreach and dedication. Thank you.

I learned about Homefront Hugs a few years ago and I have been supporting them ever since. Their mission to help veterans as well as current service men and women and all of their families makes this organization worthy of my support. Our service men and women need all of the help and support we can give them and Homefront Hugs makes sure that they know they are not forgotten. Most importantly is that everyone is treated equally here. It doesn't matter who you are or where you are from. They do not discriminate on the basis of color, religion, gender or lifestyle choices. Just another reason to support this great charity.

I have a deep love, respect and compassion for our military. I lost 2 uncles in Vietnam, and saw what our guys had to tolerate when coming home. I was also deeply involved in the POW/MIA movement.

So being able to provide support to soldiers who are away from home and feeling alone is a precious gift to me.

I trust them with my donations because I know they use them for the greater good for all that bless us with their service and commitment to our country. They love our troops and show it everyday
Strongly urge you to help with their mission. ❤️

There are very few organizations that provide the reach and care that this organization does... all with a very limited staff. Homefront Hugs puts the soldier, sailor, and airman first. Always. No matter whether the individual is active duty, retired, or deployed to remote locations, they are always there to provide assistance and support where it is needed most.

Homefront Hugs is there to help. If you are interested in supporting a program that makes a difference, I highly encourage you to donate to this worthwhile cause. Homefront Hugs is a wonderful organization that not only benefits veterans and service members, but provides an opportunity for everyday citizens to give back. I appreciate the opportunity to send a little happiness and encouragement to the service member to whom I have been matched. Though volunteers shouldn’t expect to hear from their service member, sometimes you do! It has been so nice to connect and support the military personnel with little packages, letters and emails. Hearing how much it is appreciated makes me want to do even more. Participating does not require a lot of time or money. In fact you could easily ask friends or neighbors to contribute money, snacks, gift cards or magazines to fill the packages. A little kindness goes a long way!

I've only interacted with Homefront Hugs via Twitter, but when a veteran I followed on Twitter posted to talk about how he was planning to end his life the day after, I reached out to Homefront Hugs and asked for help.

Homefront Hugs responded in a timely fashion and helped talked that veteran down from his suicidal ideation before he did anything to himself.

It was such a relief to have help, because I'm not a veteran and I wasn't sure I could do it alone.

Home front Hugs, showed up on my Twitter feed a month ago. Joining their efforts to literally help save the lives of U S. Soldiers, was a life changing decision for me, although I didn't realize it at first. I adopted two soldiers to send two monthly packages of hope, recognition and appreciation for their sacrifices so my family and I could enjoy decades of freedom❤️. I've completed two mailings. I love it so much, I find myself checking to see if it's time to send. The other reason it's changed my life; I retired after 40 years of teaching 2 yr olds-11 yr olds. My health dictated the decision. Depression came soon there after, and then the pandemic. I couldn't volunteer at my old school as I had planned. More despair. Home front Hugs threw me the lifeline I had been searching for. Purpose. Without it, I didn't feel alive. I owe them a debt of gratitude. I'm 67 yrs young and I'll serve my country in this way as long as I have a breath.❣️ P.S. my mental health has improved enough that if school opens this fall I will be there one day a week❣️

Homefront Hugs is a wonderful organization. I had the honor of adopting a soldier overseas and sending them care packages each month. Anyone can join and adopt. They even provide suggestions on items you can send your soldier if you run out of ideas. If you aren't interesting in putting together a package, you can do a monthly donation to assist with the shipment of packages the organization sends themselves to our troops overseas.

Alessandra Kellerman, who runs Homefront Hugs, is amazing and donates so much of her time helping our soldiers deployed, their families back home and our veterans.

It truly is “where no hero is forgotten.” I know donations are going where they are most needed. Check out their website to see all the ways you can help our troops through Homefront Hugs. The name “Homefront Hugs” is a perfect description of this organization. It began 17 years ago, and literally grew from the heart of its amazing CEO, Alessandra Kellermann, and it touches as many hearts as possible. Every penny donated, as well as a few of her own, is spent doing whatever is needed most by as many veteran, active duty men, women and families as can be squeezed into the budget. If you’re at all familiar with our military, you know the wide range of their needs. From boxes filled with necessities sent to those deployed who have no family, to money for burial sent to surviving family who lack the means for a proper final farewell, and everything in between, that’s Homefront Hugs. Then there’s the veteran who recently started a landscaping business, only to have his tools stolen, and dreams shattered. A call went out for whatever assistance donors could provide. This resulted in the donation of several hundred dollars in gift cards for national home improvement stores, that allowed a grateful veteran to begin his business again. I have been and will continue to be a regular contributor. I urge others to give till it feels good, and I guarantee gifts to Homefront Hugs will allow you to feel exactly that way!

Homefront Hugs Foundation is doing critically important work. WE made promises to our Vets and too many of those promises have been broken. I know many Vets who couldn't even use their GI Benefits for convoluted reasons or get health care attention when it's desperately needed. We send them off to war, they & their families sacrifice for us all and far too often, they are forgotten when they return home. They are also too often put out of mind WHILE they are deployed, referred to as "the troops" with little sensitivity to each man & woman and all they've given up to marshall America's interests & defend Democracy. The woman running this Foundation is amazing & deserves our help & support. Please donate today?

I posted this but not sure my original post went through.
Home front hugs, there are not enough words or praises I could express or convey about this organization.
This organization is a 10 Star out of 5 stars !
This organization helped my family take care of my nephew who like I served, my nephew had a ruff go on his tours of duty and took his life after returning home.
Home front helped us from the very beginning and the help of Jesse’s fellow Marines we would not of been able to take care of the funeral arrangements but this organization stepped up and led the way.
They helped us ensure Jesse was buried with full military honors and full financially assistance to cover all costs !!
Home front hugs is exceptional and outstanding there are not enough words and their coordinator Alexandrea was an angel from heaven with her ability to handle our needs and her human touch and concern was so genuine and heart felt.
She was truly a god send.
Thank you all from all my family, Jesse’s fellow brothers of military and friends, you all were exceptional!!
Thank you!!

I am the daughter of a military Veteran (may he RIP). In the past, there have been other organizations (not all) who have been disingenuous in representing themselves as a good faith organization for military soldiers and Veterans. This is not the case with Homefront Hugs.

I met the courageous woman, Allesandra, who I consider to be the driving force for Homefront Hugs, via social media a few years ago. I found her to be genuine in her attempts to promote Homefront's mission and I was inspired by her efforts. There are no gimmicks...no hidden agenda for this worthy cause. You can find all the information that you need on their website. Whatever amount of donations come in, they go entirely towards the mission of making sure our brave warriors receive care packages and other items. What is especially heartfelt is seeing how dedicated Allesandra is in reaching out for support. I have been a donor for over 5 years now...and I don't regret it. This is my small part in giving back to the brave soldiers, like my Dad, who secured my freedom to do so. Its a rewarding experience for me and Homefront Hugs has made it possible. I would, and have, encouraged others to become a donor of Homefront Hugs. ~ Natalie Nicole Williams

To whom it may concern;

I've been associated with the organization know as "Homefront Hugs Foundation" for several years now. As a Vietnam Veteran; when on Active Duty, know first hand the desperation, loneliness and hardship Soldiers in all Branches experience! Moreover; the assistance this organization renders our Heroes lost and living, Gold Star families and Veterans are invaluable. My son and I have adopted three or four different military people deployed anywhere from a gentleman who made a lifelong career in the military to an adoptee who is supposed to be home soon. I absolutely love adopting people and knowing that not only do they get a little touch of home but they can share their care packages because we load them up so that the others that are with the adoptee can also share in the joy. To me Homefront hugs is one of the greatest organizations due to the fact that they help all of our military people know that they aren't forgotten. I would recommend and do recommend to anybody that I know to try to just volunteer one time and you'll want to continue to do it and I also encourage those who may be reading this give it a try it will really be a blessing to your heart. We heard from one of our adoptees when we first started sending care packages he sent pictures other than that we haven't heard anything from any of our other adoptees but it doesn't matter to us just to know that they know they're not forgotten is more than enough to keep us continuing to adopt. So please with the holidays coming up we know how much it means to us to have our families around us just think about these people who are out in other countries protecting us so we were able to have our thanksgivings and our Christmases but they're not home with their families. If you could please adopt just one so they know with the upcoming holidays that they are remembered and that they are love for everything that they do even though we don't know them and may never know anything about them other than what we get from the email from Homefront hugs but it's all worth it I guarantee you that thank you very much.
If you have some co workers or a church class or a whole church. It can be 1 person or a huge church to adopt it doesn't matter how big or small you are.

I have been looking for a nonprofit our family could donate to and take part in the work. Homefront Hugs Foundation was the blessing that fell in our laps. A friend shared their current need and we jumped to help after checking all the background info. I grew up in an Army family and still remember all the days, weeks and months without my father. We never complained because country first. Homefront Hugs (http://www.homefronthugs.org) are (in their own words) "a small grass roots non-profit charity with a heart and passion for inclusion, diversity and peace, weary of the useless reasons for division, ready for us all to find our common humanity, and a passion to give unconditional support to our brave troops, their courageous families, our amazing veterans." They work unceasingly for those in need and especially the Armed Forces with a special emphasis on those deployed, disabled or disadvantaged.
Alessandra Kellermann, who founded and heads up Homefront Hugs is one of the most committed people I know. She has chosen to use her background in mental health to tackle the suicide epidemic and her work includes the Healing Canines initiative. She is a champion of human rights, working across political boundaries. In her words "We need to unite across the divisions and make this world a gentler place together."

HHF is awesome. They are truly & seriously committed to supporting the mental health needs of soldiers serving abroad, as well as injured soldiers & vets stateside, and military families as well. With their care packages, HHF provides a simple, inexpensive way by which anyone can make a direct, hands-on difference in a soldier's life.

HHF is a 100% volunteer org., with *every penny* of donations going to the folks they serve. Yet despite what you might expect, being all-volunteer doesn't stop them from being incredibly active and responsive - my emails to them have always been answered within a day's time, and they have a steady presence on social media, not just seeking donors but also advocating for and reaching out to the soldiers & families who can apply to HHF's program.

Also important, IMHO, is that HHF makes the effort to provide ways that children can participate, and assists older kids in completing service hours and projects like the Girl Scout Silver Award they helped my daughter earn. To my mind, that's double service - not just supporting our military, but helping to raise the next generation of engaged citizens.

Like I said, Homefront Hugs is awesome!

It has been my privilege to be part of Homefront Hugs for many years. Alessandra Kellermann and her son, Ed were always such great role models in their dedication to supporting our troops and their families.Because of this, I started out as a volunteer and adopted several troop members and a couple of families who had loved ones stationed overseas. I have made some lifelong friendships with these troops/families well after their return from deployment and even after they have left the service. My own son who served both in Iraq and Afghanistan received packages from this organization. I have a interesting story about my son who had just graduated boot camp and was trying to get his bearings at his new base when a Sargent approached him and asked if his mother was part of Homefront Hugs. (My son and I share an unusual name) and this young man told him that I had sent him many packages during his deployment and he shared how much he appreciated the support ....suddenly my son had a new contact to ease his transition into the new base.

This is a great organization! Alessandra Kellermann, Homefront Hugs President is a wonderful role model as to putting your money and time where you heart is. Each time one of us can put a smile on the face of one of our troops and and/or their families we are blessed as are they! Not every service member has a family to support and care while they are deployed but HFH allows us to adopt and share our support! As an Army mom myself of a service member I am so pleased this organization allows me and others to "mother/befriend" these hard working guys and gals! It is an organization that is well run and true to its vision and goals of supporting our US military personnel.

My wife and I have participated with Homefront Hugs for many years. It performs an important and much appreciated service. We have adopted many people in the service, whose names we receive through HFH. There is a tremendous gratification from assisting deployed service people, who need a "hug" from home. Conversely, the person in the service feels less alone while deployed far away. This happens because of the hard work and effort of HFH. We heartily recommend it.

I started with Homefront Hugs as a donor, but the unthinkable happened. On September 16, 2018, I lost my son, Navy PO2 Benjamin Demers to suicide. It was then I learned the true power of this organization. The Founder reached out to me to check if there were any needs in my family. She also knew that as a veteran myself I was at risk and made sure I had the resources needed. The first Christmas, I was surrounded with support as they did a card drive for me. All this on top of the regular work of making sure deployed troops who have no support are adopted for the duration or receive support from them. I continue to support Homefront Hugs and believe in their mission.

Due to brain cancer taking my son’s father, we ended our charity and kept the volunteer organization going until my son had time to grieve . In November 2017, once our son reached adulthood and the needs were growing daily , we reformed with a new name with the same purposes including suicide prevention, advocacy for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, and helping families become resilient before or after trauma occurs . Our new charity can be found here on Guidestar under Homefront Hugs Foundation, Inc. We invite you to join us, leave a review and follow us on social media under @HomefrontHugs on Twitter, and on Facebook under Operation Healing Angel, Homefront Hugs Foundation and Homefront Hugs Kids and Teen Clubs . What inspired us to reform again and start fresh as a new charity are the incredible volunteers from all walks of life who continued to make a difference no matter what our status was as we dealt with our personal tragedy . Everyone is a volunteer including myself and it is an honor and humbling to have such a dedicated volunteer family . We are all in this together . Freedom Endures .

I have had the best experience and it really matters as to how much you put into it yourself . Homefront Hugs reminds you that there are many ways to help no matter what you believe or your politics and everyone is included . There are several people who are upset because they could not choose the religion of their soldier or did not like the inclusive nature .
No one makes a penny . They are the real deal and took a break from their 501-3c because they needed one to mourn several losses in their family . They should have it by early 2017.
But don't donate for postage or to help if it bothers you - look at all the ridiculous salaries though at other charities and overhead .
This military family has no overhead - pays for supplies and overhead themselves and really cares . They brag about us as volunteers when they do so much themselves when no one helps when it's not the holidays . We have adopted 4x and love their work . We are friends still with some of our troops and it made our kids feel great giving back ! Remember the reason for the season and know this is a homegrown real org that is the real deal - supporting our troops, military families and wounded vets and every community with needs so you can give back helping anywhere as a teen and still be called a Homefront Hugs volunteer as long as you are giving thanks for your freedoms .
Check out their Kids Page or Operations healing Angel !
And the CEO is so accessible - when does that happen these days ?! She does all the assignments herself and emails due to security and once she can hire staff she gets a break . She is disabled herself but hardly talks about it . I love Homefront Hugs! We need to unite more and stop all the complaining ...life is too short !

This organization is poorly organized. If you sign up to sponsor a soldier, you are given terms of commitment. The organization bears none. They get to applications on their own schedule and expect that you begin your sponsorship as soon as they ask. The communications are mainly pleas for donations because they will be short in meeting their numbers. The communications state that no salaries are given and yet lacking any financial transparency there is no accountability for the funds that have been donated.. You will just have to take their word for it. At one point, the organization was running a dual donation drive to include a moving and other expenses for the headquarters which also happened to be the directors home. Financial conflict of interest.

We work out of our small home and earn no salaries or compensation of any sort as a military family . Our own vet served 25 years before my son lost his father to brain cancer. This is why we do what we do pro bono. 100 % of all donations go to our missions and always have . There is no conflict of interest. We are sorry you were not happy with our rules regarding OPSEC and adoptions but we hope you found another charity to use your interest in volunteering . We do not think this was a good fit for you and had to let you to as a volunteer.

I spent almost two years overseas. During this time I wanted to find support for the Soldiers in order to boost morale. I found Homefront Hugs online. When I spoke to Allesandra I could hardly believe people like her still existed. Not only did she take care of my Soldiers, she sent items to my son, mom and sister. Families adopted the three and continued to provide support until my return. Homefront Hugs provided an all expense paid trip to New York for my sister to say "thank you" as she was the primary caregiver for my son. I am eternally grateful to the organization, owner and her son.

Homefront Hugs USA Inc. is an outstanding organization for supporting our nation's troops and veterans. The leader of this organization is a former military spouse raising a USAF dependent who lost his father to brain cancer. She founded this organization and has been volunteering her time and efforts for the last 15 years to be an actual DOER of supporting our military veterans and active-duty troops. As a retired senior NCO, I personally donate to this organization and highly recommend you consider partnering with Homefront Hugs USA Inc. so that they can continue their mission of #SOT and #SOV. My family and I have enjoyed volunteering with Homefront Hugs over the past 8+ years. There are so many different ways to bless service members and show our gratitude for the work they do. Through having the kids help make cards, my older boys helping greet a returning "honor flight" full of WWII veterans, to making donations to help send care packages, there was always a way to help that fit our hectic and busy homeschool lifestyle at the time. We know Alessandra personally, and are so impressed with how all donations go directly to getting the care packages shipped off to various destinations around the world. It is her heart to see that no service member, or their families home-side, feel forgotten, and we are happy to come alongside Alessandra and help with this mission as we are able to.

The wonderful lady who runs the organization works tirelessly to make sure that everyone is supported, and she is always available to answer any questions. I believe that working with Homefront Hugs has helped me as much as it has helped the hard working soldiers (and families) that I have supported. This is the least that we can do for the men and women who work so hard and unselfishly for our country. I am sharing a photo of the last family that I sponsored (with their permission, of course) when Dad returned home and surprised them! I plan to stay with Homefront Hugs for a very long time!

My wife and I have been volunteering with Homefront Hugs for over a year and have adopted 3 different deployed troops, as well as donated additional funds as we could for postage for other care packages sent out regularly by Homefront Hugs. The troops, and their teammates downrange, have been tremendously appreciative of everything we've sent, not only for the contents of the packages, but also for the concrete demonstration that somebody back in the Homeland knows something about their situation and cares about them. The letters and emails we've exchanged have been as important, if not more so, than the care packages themselves.

Alessandra Kellerman, who is the energetic force behind Homefront Hugs, has consistently been the soul of kindness, respect, consideration and compassion toward us and the troops. She is a wonderful example of unselfish love expressed in action and has been a constant joy to work with.

We shall continue to volunteer for this outstanding organization as long as there are troops downrange, or wounded anywhere that we can benefit. Rock on Alessandra! Well done!

After I adopted my soldier, I was contacted by Alessandra (owner and operator), who demanded I forward her all the emails I received from my soldier because my soldier was not responding to Alessandra's emails. Feeling threatened by her, I forwarded her only 1 of those emails. It was a huge violation of my soldier's trust, and I highly regret it to this day. Later, I found she had put some of the information from that email on her website as if it was written to her by that soldier. Now that my soldier is no longer deployed, Alessandra has attempted to intimidate me to receive my soldier's home address and phone number which she wrongly believes I have. She has used methods such as name-calling and belittling to get what she wants from me. She has prematurely released the names of our deceased military both on FB and Twitter. (That is not the job of any nonprofit organization. That is the responsibility of the DoD.) She has a number of CrowdSource attempts to get people to pay for her home repairs, purchase her a new vehicle, etc., with attempts to pull on heart strings because she is the owner of HH. If you read her website, you'll find a huge push to donate money...with adoption as a side note. Wouldn't it make more sense to push adoptions so the responsibility of filling care packages and providing postage twice a month rests on the adoptive family rather than Alessandra? Please, I urge you to do research on the company you work with. I strongly recommend SoldiersAngels as they do exactly what HH does with adoptions but they are a much larger organization, wonderful to work with, kind, generous, and most importantly have a verified nonprofit status with 5-stars on GuideStar.

This volunteer was released from our program as she refused to adhere to OPSEC and demanded more information on her soldier than we were willing to share. We also respect the privacy of the soldier when they request some information not be shared. We have been in touch with the soldier and these facts are simply not true nor are the insinuations or allegations here. It is regretful that these false accusations and slander are permitted here but these are the freedoms our troops and veterans fight for daily . We follow OPSEC and respect the privacy of our military families and veterans greatly especially those of grieving families. We never share obituaries until the media has released the names and families are notified. We are a family who has lost our hero as well after serving 25+ years as an A-10 pilot and fully understand and respect the privacy of grieving. We work with mourning families especially those lost to suicide daily. We value our integrity.

I have been involved with HomeFrontHugs virtually since it's inception 14 years ago. In search of a charity to donate to where I knew every penny was going directly to sending care packages and taking care of deployed troops both mentally and physically, I knew immediately this was the kind of organization for which I was looking. The founder, Alessandra Kellermann and a dedicated group of volunteers, as well as her son, work tirelessly without pay or need for acknowledgement, and assure that FOB deployed know they are not forgotten. Her adopt a soldier campaign gives comfort, thoughts , and prayers to an untold number of troops. Having been involved in many military volunteer groups, HFH is by far my favorite as I can personally feel and see the impact it has on the lives of personnel, their husbands or wives, and their children. I could not recommend HFH more highly, and I could not be more proud of being part of an organization. If you are looking, this is what you're looking for.

Then was told it was my fault.Even the soldier I adopted apologized about it and felt badly for me because I had to explain to him why I was no longer with HFH.The concept is great, but very disappointed and upset.I would think that when someone volunteers with an organization your efforts would be appreciated by that organization.I will never recommend Homefront Hugs and am now apprehensive of joining another.

We regret your experience and as for being disabled, we welcome all volunteers of all abilities as our CEO, myself, is disabled herself and battling cancer. We do everything possible to accommodate because we understand personally and inclusion wise how vital the contribution and talents are of all citizens especially those with challenges of any kind. We do however have strict rules about OPSEC and confidentiality and when broken these need to be addressed. Unfortunately this volunteer was not a good match for our program as a result which happens very rarely in our 18+ years of service.

I joined HFH a few yrs ago, and I am amazed at how much they do for so many. Not only do they support the soldiers who are deployed, they help the families that are still here. I love the fact that almost anyone can adopt a soldier and send their support and thanks. I had a soldier I adopted a few yrs back and around christmas time I sent him a battery operated christmas tree for him and his troop. I recieved an email from him and all the others telling me thank you, and It would be one of the best christmases they would have being away from home. Then not only that I got pictures from him with the tree, and the smile that was on his face said it all. I recomend joining Homefront Hugs because there is a personal satisfaction to it. Not only do you do your part to support the soldiers, you get to corespond with them and get to know them, you get feedback and thanks for your part. I use to give my money to charities that helped others, but the satisfaction was not there in know who I was helping, that is not the case with HFH.

Homefront Hugs has been superb in their tasks in both sorrow and joy. Alessandra and crew are very quick to respond to any measure or task put before them.We have had a terrific experience over the last 7 months with every encounter. We currently have two adopted troops that are currently overseas. The rewards of the bonding between initial complete strangers has brought me and my family great joy. Our service members are so grateful for so little we give compared to what they are giving to us. Our hearts do get broken when we hear about the needs of our fallen, wounded, veteran troops and their families. Homefront Hugs reaches out to so many different aspects of military life we wish we could address them all. We suggest you get involved. If you would spare a few hours a month or even a few cards here and there it may just spark up your life in a way that you really can not put into words. I have been a member of Homefront Hugs since approximately 2004. The number of projects provided have increased over the years as the needs of the troops, their families and the wounded have been made known. It is truely an organization that works extremely hard to make sure no hero is forgotten. As the needs grow, and more troops deploy, so grows the need for more volunteers and dontations. This is an all volunteer organization with all monies being used for the projects. Check out our web site and find a project to support to show your support an say think you to our heroes.

A+++++++++++++. They go above and beyond their call of service. My entire platoon and I are most grateful for their service to us and helping us while we are currently deployed. They know what it means to help soldiers and not just current serving members. They even are very caring for out families at home. My wife is most grateful for the wonderful friendships she has made with them. With great respect, Platoon SGT Jeremy Pidgeon and Platoon, Afganistan 2009/2010

If you are ready to get involved to support our troops in a meaningful way, this is the organization for you. There are a ton of ways you can get involved! Getting involved to show your support for our military doesn't need to cost a lot of money. The most important aspect of the volunteer experience is your time and kindness. You can opt to "adopt" a deployed member, the military nurses and doctors who care for them, or our wounded heroes who are now home and could use some love. You can simply be part of the campaign to write letters and send/make get well and thank you cards. The cards are a great way to get children involved. You may also choose to support their families back home. Whatever you do, you will be making a difference...a true difference. The organization is not politically affiliated and is completely volunteer run. Our military and their families are counting on us.

I am a volunteer for Homefront Hugs USA and am so blessed to have found this organization. Like so many people, I wanted to find a way to let our soldiers know how much we care and appreciate their service to this great nation. I have worked with other organizations that have not been as on top of things as Allessandra. It has been such a sure joy and pleasure to be able to work with such an outstanding and devoted woman. Her passion for the military goes above and beyond. She has inspired not only me but my daughter as well to go the extra mile and want to do as much as we can for our troops. I could not have picked a better organization to volunteer for. Thank you Allessandra for creating Homefront Hugs USA....

I have been a volunteer for Homefront Hugs for the last six months and have adopted two soldiers, one of whom is Afganistan and has lost men. We can never do enough to thank these brave men and women who not only sacrifice their lives but sacrifice being away from family, friends, and the comforts of home. Please, please volunteer so we can help as many folks as possible. It just takes sending care packages and notes of encouragement. You will find the experience most rewarding, and if you have children, it will be a valuable lesson on serving commuinity and volunteerism.

This charity matches up ordinary people to provide support for our troops overseas. Whether it's to send care packages, or write letters and cards to help morale, this is a great way to reach out to our brave service men and women around the world. Through Homefront Hugs, our family sent a large package of cards to wounded troops in Iraq and we even received a personal e-mail reply from the chaplain who distributed the letters. This is a great organization that needs monetary donations as well as volunteers to send items to our military personnel.

HomeFrontHugs is doing a job that is critical to any soldier when deployed away from home. This could also be adapted to new soldiers in the service during training, especially the young ones. I am glad that someone stood up and has said, "Give them our support", it was barely there when I was a soldier deployed overseas and I was happy to respond to all of the letters that I received. God Bless you each!
