I have volunteered a few times at Spina Bifida and every single time, I never wanted it to end. Everyone there from the young people to the staff to the managers are extremely enjoyable. They would always go out of their way if I needed assistance with a task. If they are willing to do so much to help me volunteer, then I know the care they are giving to the young adults must be incredibly off the charts.

As a rugby player and close friend to the Harlequins('Quins'), I have really been so inspired and impressed with how far they have come as a team and an organization. <br> <br>When I am not home with my immediate family, the Harlequins are my family. They have fully supported me in all of my rugby endeavors. This year the Harlequins recommended me for the USA Rugby All-American Camp and at this camp, I was able to learn from both USA Women's Coaches. An opportunity like that could have never happened for me without their support. <br> <br>Additionally, when I had opportunities to travel and play higher level rugby, the team has come together and helped me financially. I am so blessed for all they have done. Without their help I could have never been able to have those opportunities. <br> <br>Lastly, this year I started a rugby team at Point Park University, The Quins were the first to help me get going. We now have a roster of over 35 gentlemen, Thanks to the Pittsburgh Harlequins. They deserve to be recognized for everything they do in our community as well. <br> <br>Aside from helping players like me, they have an after school rugby program which I have spent some of my time volunteering with. This program provides an outlet for children in low- income neighborhoods to run around and experience a new sport. This program instills confidence and leadership in all of these children and gives them something to look forward to. <br> <br> They really have demonstrated that rugby is way more than a sport. It is a way of life and it's about giving and growing. They have done just that. <br> <br>Three cheers for the Harlequins for a job well done! <br> <br> <br> <br>

I have to write because the people at Steel City Rowing changed my daughter's life, all for the better. When she got involved, we had no way of knowing that she'd become such a leader, or make friends from all areas of the City and so many other schools. (Consistently, over the years, we've found the kids are upbeat, fun and work so hard. The coaches set high standards, but teach the kids not just rowing, but about respect for others, about giving back and volunteering). She ended up teaching younger kids and becoming a leader. This experience truly helped to shape her and we recommend it to other families.
