Programs: In 2017 nascent continued the implementation of its three-year mcgovern-dole food for education program, whose aims is to improve the literacy and health of school age children. This goal is achieved mainly by providing hot meal a day to over 20,000 school age children in 92 schools and through activities such as teacher training, the provision of quality of literacy materials. This has increased teacher and student attendance, increasing student enrollment, and improving the capacity of local and national government institutions to support the initiated activities. The rehabilitation of the school infrastructure, establishment of school gardens, provision of water supply for school and ongoing trainings for teachers, school administrators and local government officials on good governance practices has also been provided
nascent was awarded the 2016 ifrp grant for cameroon to implement a 15 month program design to increase food security of 1900 households in misaje and bum sub-divisions. Nascent will distribute 75mt of harvest lentil. Nascent trains beneficiaries on using of modern family planning. The total grant amount with out the commodity is $149,946. 00
nascent was awarded 2015 ifrp grant for cameroon and started implementation in 2016. The target location of the program was ngohketunjia division of the nw region of cameroon. This award enables nascent to provide food assistance and other services for 10,422 beneficiaries including 2084 people living with hiv/aids (plwha).
