15 years ago my friends son and his girlfriend went to Problem Pregnancy in Worcester. they wanted a pregnancy test and advice about abortion. Their son is now 14 and the joy of everyone who knows him THANK YOU for helping these young parents to choose life.

I am a veteran, a volunteer, and an employee of Veterans Inc and I have been assisting with Veterans Inc events for the past 4 years now. Due to the unwavering commitment and the hard-working employees and volunteers, each year the events become bigger and better. Veterans Inc is able to offer more services to veterans and their families due to the growing contributions from individuals and organizations. It's an honor to work with the Veterans Inc staff and to see first-hand the differences that this organization makes in the lives of veterans. I would encourage anyone who wishes to volunteer their time to help veterans, to reach out and assist with the annual 5K fundraiser, Standdown event, Veterans Day breakfast, Holiday Harvest food give-away, or the toy and coat giveaway. As an immigrant having migrated to the United States, from what is considered one of the world, most in-porridge nation, the Republic of Liberia to be specific. Liberia a nations that strive to recover from the devastations of 14 years of civil wars. I can say that the African children educational program, ACE serve as a contour for the African communities of Worcester. For most African migrating to the United States from refugee camps and developing countries, is like being reborn. ACE have put in place programs that helps African families transition smoothly enabling African families understand the way of life of American society, yet by still upholding their African culture and values. <br>Words are inadequate to express sincerest gratitude to the team at ACE most especially Mr. Kaska Yawo for his tremendous effort in inspiring young Africans over the years to become productive residence of Worcester County and its surroundings. My hope is that ACE program, be extended to other states where not only Africans children but other immigrants communities can benefit from the program. <br>Last, but not least, I will like to extend thanks and appreciations to the leadership, of the state of Massachusetts, organizations, and individuals, for their support and commitment over the years to the growth productivity of ACE. <br><br>Humbly <br>Benedict Koitatee Sartee

Two of our children were students at Joy of Music Program and it was a great preparation for learning to play in different jazz ensembles as well as overall skill level. The staff was very dedicated and caring in developing each student. The building creates a community school environment.

I have known about the No Evil Project for several years and participated for the first time in 2018. I recently volunteered at an event with the No Evil Project and was impressed with the other volunteers. Troy is a great leader for this project, and his positive attitude toward everyone is infectious. This is an organization I am pleased to be associated with.

This foundation is excellent top to bottom. They put on fun and expertly run events, and generously fund programs in the area that are carefully selected to impact their important focus areas. All staff that I've ever interacted with were motivated, caring, professional and kind.

What a great organization. Our business - ILOVEKICKBOXING in West Boylston has a very dynamic involved member base and Breast Cancer Awareness is close to many people's heart. They illegally withheld my Certified ESA dog Chachi the Chihuahua and refuse to call me back. They deliberately abused my dog and he’s now in pain, bleeding and whining and underweight. The nasty woman on the phone said, “Awe! Awe! He’s just stressed.” They did this for Shrewsbury Police and Worcester Police because I’m a murder informant against one of them. Stay away from this awful place of horrors who routinely break Federal, State and Animal Abuse Laws.

Terrible nonprofit. Greedy, out of touch, and lacks diversity. My neighbor has been trying to buy a parcel of land that’s basically been attached to her property for years, it’s part of the entrance to her driveway. The greater Worcester land trust bought this land, fully knowing that she wanted it, and that we the people next to this parcel of land do not want this path and want our privacy. She’s offered numerous times to repurchase this land for at least 5x what they paid, so they can use the money for actually improving Worcester. One could allege that this land parcel purchase was bought from a seller who was not in her right state of mind, as she was in a nursing home. I’m all for being neighborly, but I have a toddler inches from where this theoretical path would be.My families safety along with my neighbors safety and privacy wasnt their concern.I moved here a few years ago to be apart of, and watch Worcester grow. I bought my particular house because I liked my privacy and can still be apart of my community. I cannot stress that My neighbors and I like our privacy, it’s why we pay the high property taxes.The Greater Worcester Land Trust never asked any of us if we wanted this, they just infringed on our privacy and went for it. There is zero logic behind this parcel purchase.There isn’t a need for a path as there’s several paths and entrances already. aka the established on Orrison St nearby, and other paths to Moreland Conservation.When I asked the executive director, why they are placing a path there he gave me an illogical excuse, “ because there’s a woman’s walking group who wants to feel safe and we are giving them another path”. He had the audacity to say this to myself, and my neighbor. We are both woman,and homeowners. We explicitly said we don’t feel safe with a public path right there between our house. I guess we didn’t matter. I hope This corrupt organization gets everything it deserves in the upcoming years. It is apart of a large problem in Worcester, of corrupt people in higher position that simply dont have the cities best interest.

In 2012 my infantry battalion returned from a year deployment in Afghanistan. During the 2 years following our return, we experienced 5 suicides. There were no answers or understanding of what was going on and why. When we were in theater, we took a combat casualty and remember the guys in the platoon were strong when together and falling apart when alone. It wasn't surprising that some guys were falling apart back home. Project New Hope planned, funded, and executed a top of the line Battalion Reunion to re-connect former battle buddies. We've repeated this reunion a few times since then and each year more people show up. The reconnection is awesome, considering how you deploy for a year in theater, then almost immediately upon coming home everyone goes their own way and never reconnects...until now. Thanks Bill Moore, Project New Hope, and the people that support PNH activities.

This foundation is the only one that took a chance on us, during our 1st year. Most want to give grants only to accomplished 501 (C)3, which leaves a 1-2 year old 501 (C) 3 much to need and want, and barely to survive. Genesis Club is a great support to people with mental illness in our community . It helps them connect with others , get jobs and recover and become part of our community. If you have never been there schedule a tour and see the life changing work that happens there .

Wake Up Narcolepsy is an inspiring organization born from one family's experience with a child being diagnosed with the life-changing illness, Narcolepsy. It is well- managed and offers multiple services to those affected by Narcolepsy--primarily public education and outreach and fund-raising toward much needed research. As a parent of a child with Narcolepsy, we are deeply grateful for all that they do.

I have been aware of and/or involved with Alternatives Unlimited for several years and I've recently joined the Board. Alternatives provides a full range of services and supports to persons with a significant mental illness and to persons with significant developmental disabilities. In every respect, Alternatives pushes itself to go beyond simply providing services to making a concerted effort to open up opportunities for consumers of Alternative's services to become fully participating and respected members of our communities. Alternatives under the inspired leadership of Dennis Rice, Executive Director has created a headquarters in Whitinsville, MA from an old mill, that has received Leed Gold Certification as a "Green" building and has become a destination in Blackstone Valley where visitors can attend plays and other performances, view fine art in the gallery and/or take lessons in various crafts with persons served by the Agency. In addition they have developed citizen advisory councils to in communities in which they have services to help to open the communities up to their consumers for jobs, volunteer opportunities and friendships. They have also established "Club 21" groups that operate to support one to one engagement between consumers and other citizens in the community.

I came to learn about Seven Hills when i received a T-shirt from my brother who works in a guest house in Nairobi, written on the Name of this organization. I have worked with non profit organizations for my entire life. Until i asked my brother what Seven hills was all about and he told me that its a group of (Muzungus)- WHITE GUYS who come to Kenya to help those in need. We had struggled to facilitate our community's centre education program and i thought that i need to create networks with guys from outside Kenya that can have an exchange of ideologies with the children who in most cases live in the slum area. <br>I logged into their website http://www.sevenhillsglobaloutreach.org/ and just what i found was truly amazing.I found that they had already begun a school here in Kenya and were already supporting children through their education. Not only that, Seven Hills was touching on every aspect of human development and life longevity activities to better children and youths future. This organization merged with the Rape Crisis Center of Central Massachusetts, Inc. (Now Pathways for Change, Inc.) in 2002 and no longer exists as a seperate entity. The Clothesline Project can be accessed through www.CentralMassPFC.org

My main and most recent contacts have been with the resettled refugees ministered to by the LSS Services for New Americans program. The LSS staff and volunteers are both compassionate and dedicated. They work hard, smart, during long hours to ease the difficult transition from the terrible situation in overseas camps into the challenges of total immersion in an American community. I have heard many of these newcomers testify to the deep and lasting impact that LSS has had, and continues to have on their lives. Volunteers help by providing transportation, teaching English, mentoring, helping find employment, advocating for services and in a host of other ways. Donations of clothing, household items, and gifts (such as sponsoring driving lessons) have an immeasurably effect on a refugee families’ quality of life and their rate of adjustment.
