My wife was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at age 62. She had severe calf pain, muscle pain, tremors, slurred speech, frequent falls, loss of balance, and difficulty getting up from a sitting position. She was put on Sinemet for 6 months, and then Siferol was introduced and replaced the Sinemet. Neither standard treatment like B1 and high dose B12 did very little for her. We tried different supplements that didn't work, so last August, our family doctor started her on the PD-5 protocol—the best decision ever! 2 months into treatment she improved dramatically. In the middle of January, after the first ice storm to sweep the U.S., on the way to lunch with a friend, I had a slip and fall accident. I had never had a sprain or a fracture, minor or major, in my life, and was unsure what my next course of events in recovery and life would be like. In the heat of the moment, I called an ambulance and was taken to the local hospital ER where I was told that I had broken clean through both bones in my ankle and was sent on my way with a boot and crutches. After moving back in with my mom because I could not be independent, I was told the boot did more damage and required extensive surgery that would leave me disabled for 4 - 6+ months. I had to forfeit my new job, leave my home that I was still paying rent and utilities on, a car I can't drive, and a job that I was making great money doing for the past 2 years. I am dealing with metastatic cancer and was provided with a wonderful trip to Discovery Cove with memories to cherish forever. A place to stay I’m so excited of the landlord and the place she found. I feel like I was difficult at times because she was finding places but I disagree of certain reasons. And she still work with me the place as she found for me and my family was a great fit and we are excited to be in our place right now. Tracey is the best and I’m truly happy that we came in contact and develop a great relationship and I’m a continue to stay in contact because she’s a wonderful person. My neighbor contacted Feline Friends as we were overrun by cats and kittens. They sent a volunteer out who was wonderful and she trapped 14 cats her first time out and came back numerous times to keep trapping the cats to get the situation under control. All the cats & kittens were given a health check, neutered or spayed and a rabies shot. They are a wonderful organization and care deeply about our stray and feral cat population.

My review of this organization may seem biased as I am not only a board member but also the surviving mother of LCpl. Jackson Forringer. So, allow me to share a bit behind the importance of this organization. It not only awards a monetary gift, it bridges the gap between an individual aging out of the foster system and entering a life in military service. HABITAT FOR HUMANITIES BRADENTON Awful organization. They claim to be a charitable organization. Waisted my time taking time off of work for them to come pick up my sofa. They rejected it because it had a spot which I removed in front of them and they still didn't take it. I had a Facebook offer for $300... so much for giving to charity. Thought I was doing the right thing. Guess this organization doesn't really care about people.

This roadside zoo is a horribly depressing place. There are many varieties of large, beautiful animals locked up in tiny cages while tourists shove small pieces of meat on sticks through the chainlink fences. During the animal shows, the animals are talked down to and disrespected while being forced to perform circus like tricks. Please don't support this "sanctuary" circus. I am shocked by the amount of positive reviews for this dirty place. My daughter said to me, "this is a like a pound for big cats." That pretty much sums it up.

I love the way the staff care for my son. We have been here since kindergarten and they all know me and my family. They try to help and try to support our family.

Very kind ladies. These young ladies caught me at my worse. They provided a bus ticket for me to go to Colorado to my aunt'. I now live with her. Thankful to these ladies, I am no longer homeless. When no one cared for me, they did. I appreciate the food bags and hygiene bags they continually provided while I was homeless in Sarasota. The world needs more people like them.

Let's be honest with you I thought that by going to the classes that I were taking with Miss April will be beneficial to me I had a lot of fun and I got some things out of it when it came to me getting help towards the things that I needed to be doing because of my past and because of the things that I were involved in she didn't want to help me I wanted to know how I could get back into my nursing what steps that I need to take because I was in trouble in the past and I was trying to get over that stump and try to better myself by going in back into the career that I always dreamed of I had that going for myself but I had got into some little trouble back in 2000 and it went downhill from there but I thought the class would take me to a better place when I started telling her my story she didn't started talking about what I was doing in my life and and the people that I hung around with and so I'm still overloaded and I was still trying to figure out what can I do to take the steps to get back into the career that I want to be in she told me I had to do this this this and that as far as my lifestyle before she wouldn't even think about helping me get back into the nursing field in other words the people that I hang around the places that I were going she was looking in more into that and not until not into the fact that I was coming to her to get through those steps but everybody else she would help send them back to school teach them how to go here give them the necessary means to get where they want to go but when it came to certain people she has a real problem so in that point I don't go get any food from our place and she told my donations people giving some how you going to give something to the homeless community when you're charging them for it that's how you building all these new buildings and going all over and beyond all you know out here with the rich people are you got to know where you came from and realize where you came from and not turn your head toward the people that's downward don't forget you got a lot of people in your past too you've always not been that bright so I do not recommend her services to anyone

I am a teacher, a happy one since I am living my dream and my life purpose. My most precious reward is to send time with our loving children and see how they conquer barriers and become ready to learn and to be happy as they grow in their social and emotional skills, then their academic readiness to school in a developmentally and individually apropriate practice, inclusion and respect for every culture. We deliver!! We are an amazing TEAM united to support them, children and their families. We are Early Childhood educators and we take it supremely seriously. <br>

Satchels does an awesome job of caring for the animals and doing evrything possible to get them adopted. So many lives have been saved because of this great non-profit.

Selah Freedom did amazing things and helped me through some of the worst times of my life. They have a great message and the only thing I would have them work on is their mental health division. Though they provide a lot they also lack knowledge in the mental health department. Which is a huge part of working with trafficking survivors, we have gone through horrifying experiences and have trauma and wounds that can manifest in a variety of different ways. Due to their lack of knowledge in that department I was transferred to a mental health facility to continue treatment elsewhere. <br>However, with the right knowledge and resources I believe I would have been able to stay and finish my journey there.

Bill Samuels introduced me to this wonderful organization; always have had a huge interest in our Florida environment and our wildlife and it's plight. Had been a wonderful experience volunteering with him and his knowledge and dedication can not be equalled...

Harvest House is truly a place where people can find the support to believe in themselves again, take control of their lives, and feel loved.<br>Some of the programs they offer support families and young adults experiencing homelessness, addiction recovery, and emergency shelter, and they also have a food pantry that supports 200+ people from our community, on a weekly basis, and they have been doing all this for 30+ years. <br>Pretty amazing!

They're still doing it in 2023. They just keep slightly altering the the name of their scam organization. I made the mistake of donating a small amount and it's been constant daily phone calls ever since. They do not honor requests to be taken off of their calling list. Every time they call, it's from a different phone number. I'm not sure how they continue to get away with this.

I got a call asking for a donation and wanting a cc number. I agreed to send a check after they agreed to send a mailer. He wasn't happy about that. 10/12 days later a woman calls saying they sent me a mailer. I said I had a busy work schedule and had not even opened it yet. She insisted I just give her a cc number and I said no. She tried to guilt me into doing so. Pissed me off. Told her she was not going to lay a guilt trip on me and I hung up. There will be no $ coming from me. I will be filing a complaint with the NM Attorney Generals Office. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I think they are just an marketing organization that actually does very little for Law Enforcement. Be aware that they are a nonprofit union. Your donation is not tax deductible.

Greetings from Miss Laura,<br>I am thrilled to introduce myself as the Founder & Executive Director of Ella's Haven of Hope. We are pleased to report our 501(c) (3) status was approved in May 2022 to provide transitional housing for battered women and women in recovery. Statistics have proven if a client goes back to an active user household it is harder to stay sober. During the transition process of creating a new life in Sarasota, I read about an older couple in Seattle who took it upon themselves to do backpacks for the homeless. The decision was made to focus on social services in FL & retire from teaching in PA. The church I started attending in 2014 loved my little grassroots backpack mission so I joined the Outreach Committee & we were able to expand significantly. I chose to donate half to Salvation Army & 1/2 to Resurrection House which is a day shelter in our community who does amazing work. It was enjoyable to create a hand painted rock for each Bag of Hope. I have excelled at working with the marginalized. My first paying job here was as an intake specialist for the homeless at Salvation Army. I also supported numerous programs housed in the same building. It was an awesome experience & when I was granted permission to attend an open forum with stakeholders passionate about affordable housing I knew I was where I belonged. (3.97 GPA over a decade ago; 2 year degree after high school) When COVID happened, I was happily working in an Assisted Living Facility as Concierge & accepted a Marketing Director assistant role 2 months in while continuing the concierge position. I turned down the Activities Director management offered but ending up doing it to give the new hire a day off. Our executive director was appreciative & I respected her for working tirelessly for the residents. The management co. made promises not kept. I chose to priortize my health and I am grateful to be breathing. While I can contribute part of my savings for this passion project, I need to fundraise to purchase a small single family home. I have a clear vision of what we need & a strong work ethic to make it happen. I love my new home town. Affordable Housing continues to be a crisis that we must solve. I have successfully managed two households simultaneously on my own. There will be no Section 8 money accepted initially. It is predominately a faith & education based program where random drug/alcohol testing will occur. My priority is to keep vulnerable women safe so they can focus on goals for a better future. I have developed & executed enough IEP for students to know I can transfer that skill. It's no longer feasible to take low paying jobs for the experience. The unemployment system crashed repeatly for a year so I took early retirement. I have no regrets. We experienced many good vacations on both coasts. Sunshine & the beach are beneficial for my soul. Sarasota is the best of the best.

From starting out as a client, scared and feeling so alone over 4 years ago, to becoming a volunteer full time with the best and most loving family one could ever have. The past 9 months volunteering at Mothers Helping Mothers has been AMAZING! I’ve created friendships I never thought possible, been supported more than I ever knew I could be, and most of all, when things look like they are just never going to get better, the positive energy lifts my spirits and gives me the strength to move on. This is a bigger family than what I already have, and they have been there with me through every medical diagnosis for nearly a year. They have been there by my side cheering me on through the toughest time of my life back in December, knowing that I would make it through, and I have! I have truly never felt so loved by so many people in such a way that would change my life this much. I’m so grateful for my rough pregnancy because if it hadn’t been the way it was I wouldn’t have found the family that never stops growing.<br>

DO NOT MOVE HEAR!!! This is in Sarasota Florida. The facility manager and maintenance guy do not care about the seniors living here nor address fixing any repairs. It is currently a health hazard for anyone living there. A water pipe burst in my mom's apartment while she was out of town and they did absolutely NOTHING to vacuum up the water. In fact, the maintenance guy left the window open and A/C off which resulted in a petri dish breading ground for mold and bacteria. AND to top it off they never even informed her there was an incident in apartment. I would give this place zero stars if I could. The hole in this ceiling has been here for over a year. I wish I could post more than 4 photos of the horrible conditions to warn everyone to stay clear of this facility. Whoever reads this PLEASE HELP!!!!

I follow Macular Degeneration Association on FaceBook. My Mother has been diagnosed and is legally blind. My youngest sister was recently diagnosed. MDA provides valuable information and insights into the disease. I share all relevant information with my family members as we are all high risk. I often go to links that they provide on their posts and have also visited their website. Through their efforts, they make the diagnosis and future look more hopeful. Knowledge is Power.
