I have had an amazing experience with The Defeating Epilepsy Foundation. I found a community where I was immediately and warmly embraced. Natalie Boehm, the president of the board of directors, reached out to me because of my involvement in a branch of the Epilepsy Foundation and my outreach efforts on several Facebook support groups. Since that time, I have found that The Defeating Epilepsy Foundation has been totally different in its mission and approach from other organizations. And, in my opinion, our community is so much the better because of it. <br> <br>I was immediately welcomed and asked to contribute my thoughts, experiences, and writing contributions, if I would be willing. Ms. Boehm opened up about her own life journey and told me about the group's purpose on a worldwide scale as well as one of its areas was a focus on adults. I felt an immediate sense of trust and value in a world where people with our condition are often marginalized and our opinions do not matter. <br> <br>I particularly like that the group empowers adults, because I feel that we are neglected. I have been a volunteer with my local Epilepsy Foundation branch for more than a decade, but I had to pull away. When the administration change, the focus did as well. It became almost completely child-centric. There were no virtually activities for adults except for a monthly support group in Boston. My efforts to initiate discussions and activities were not welcome. During the pandemic, the only real activity for adults was playing games over Zoom, which I found disheartening. <br> <br>At the Defeating Epilepsy Foundation, the focus is on collaboration, sharing, enlightenment and helping others across the globe. I find that so much more enriching and rewarding. I am with a like-minded community that is making positive changes because of our disabilities and not staying trapped in a mindset of being treated like children or inferiors. We have so many talents and skills to offer, and The Defeating Epilepsy Foundation is the springboard for us to utilize them to serve others and work toward eradicating this disease. <br> <br>I am proud to have contributed an article to the website. As a journalist with disabilities, I think it is important to show people in the epilepsy community - and society at large - that anyone can pursue a dream with enough passion, determination and support. <br>I am a proud supporter of The Defeating Epilepsy Foundation, and I hold it and its members in the highest esteem for their positive outlook and expansive philosophy.

I have worked with this organization for the last few years. It's full of good people doing their best to empower others to reach their maximum potential and to be included in their communities. I have loved working with my clients, each one has been special and I have enjoyed seeing them grow over the years reaching and exceeding their employment (and personal) goals. <br> <br>In addition to the clients, the organization really tries to hear the voices of their staff and has some great benefits. They try to take care of their people.

And all over this nation but if we can build a good repose with the powers that be,and help them understand that not all homeless people are bad,we're just human that have loss the way and need understanding and time to work,and build a great relationship with our self again, not to be put down we're already as low as we can get (homeless) but not worth less.thank you Christy mac, awesome woman."

This nonprofit started from the heart and went into action helping immigrants and refugees. They provide a wide variety of services with the main goal of bringing a better life for these population. The company is only limited to the resources it has. www.powerrh.org is growing and with it's growth will come more people it can assist.

This is suppose to be a foundation to help families, and the elderly. It is discouraging to see how they miss use the publics money. I have been living in one of the communities for a proximately three years. Within that three years we have seen approximately four managers come and go. With each manager it's a new set of rules. It's hard to live in a community where the rules do not apply to every one. Where if the manager is at odds with you, you will be evicted. There is no backing from the superiors of the organization. If they do not like what you are saying they will ignore your phone calls and you will get no help. I would strongly advise that no one invest their money into this foundation because they move people in and out of the apartment complexes or worse then cattle.

Muslim American Society hosted a camp at Camp Seely and by working on their cooking staff I found out that it is a cheap, corrupt, and low standard organization that sustains on cheap labor. My family and I worked on the cooking staff for three days put 150 hours of work and received 500 dollars for the job then we contacted the camp supervisors regarding this issue and they failed to solve it.

Igo, mission with passion for India. I have known igo ministry for many years and seems the fruits of it India. Number of bible training centers, vocational and spiritual centers. I highly recommend in supporting the work of IGO.

This is a great little organization who does more than I ever knew! I always heard about United Way, but never really knew what they did until my workplace became involved in a campaign with them a few years ago. The work that they do in our local community is wonderful, and it's nice to know that my donations are helping those right here in my area.
