Huschka House is lucky to be on the receiving end of Guitarists for Good’s generosity. They’ve donated three guitars and two ukuleles to our houses, and the instruments have been put to good use. Sandy is wonderful to work with. She’s passionate about music and about what it can do for people, and she understands that it can soothe the soul. For young adults building a new chapter in their lives, having instruments to pick up and play means a lot. We’re so grateful to Sandy and Guitarists for Good, and I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a way to give that makes a real difference.

My wife and I found our dog through Second Chance Pet Adoptions last August, and had an excellent experience. Jessica Jones, the dog program manager we dealt with, took time to understand what made a good match for both us and the dog; she arranged a meet and greet at the shelter between and our puppy's foster family, she let us spend 90 minutes together and never once made us feel rushed. Jess really wanted to ensure this was a good match, which we felt very good about. <br><br>In addition, their fees are very reasonable and covered shots & spay, and Jess went through our puppy's medical records and paperwork with us to ensure we understood everything. It's clear the team at Second Chance cares about their adoptees and the families they are going to live with. A great organization, and we're grateful they helped us find our Miss Lucy!

My intention is not to take away from all the good I realize this organization does. I am only desiring to tell my specific experience with a marketing representative, Heather, thus occurring this past January thru February 2025. <br> <br>I'm a widow now, 75, with no living relatives. <br>I had to relocate recently, therefore having <br>virtually no real friends. . . . Except my beloved poodle Sofia, now 13. <br>After a hurricane n subsequent death of my husband, my life got off track. I had to regroup and adjust to a serious financial drop. I ignored my own health and other responsibilities like regular Vet visits. <br>Now. I'm getting by, barely, after a stroke, but my dog needs dental work badly. I contacted this organization and was completely encouraged by Heather she would, could resolve the issue. I had positive hope. I waited n waited for her to follow up. Never came. By week four I contacted this email to inquire and complain what now? Within an half hour Heather emailed me all happy flowery words of how nice to hear from me (!). She said "they" could not directly assist me! She, now, tells me <br>It's up to me to qualify for a grant BUT THAT MOST GRANTS GO TO RESCUE DOGS IN NEED! <br>Hope gone. I ask why she didn't explain from the beginning ALL this? Wasted time...more time in discomfort for my little dog. <br>Well, that's the bare facts. First learned of SOF to SOM from board member Rick Ditzel- What a great organization on an important mission. In a busy space where myriad entities claim to champion the cause of service members, these folks are actually making a difference- Not just in the lives of the operators they serve, but on the future patients they will eventually go on to treat. Now that’s deserving of all our support.

The LGBT Center of Raleigh is full of wonderful people that make Raleigh great! They make a huge effort to listen to the community and meet their needs. I am always astounded by the number of services and programs the center manages with such a small staff. Keep up the great work!

I have been honored to volunteer for this amazing organization for the past two years. I have never met such an incredible group of people and their commitment to giving back to the community.

I had the opportunity to volunteer with Our Wave and was incredibly impressed. I'm a sexual assault survivor who has built technology for survivors before. The Our Wave team does a wonderful job of thoughtfully developing content to meet victims' needs. They are also collaborative and generous with other nonprofits in the space.

I have been privileged to have great-grand children participate in this camp for two years. The only downside for one of them has been "we don't get to go back tomorrow". I have also been privileged to assist with some aspects of the planning. Mr. Collins is always the example of grace and consistency. He understands his vision and his motives are clear. I wish for him the massive success which will be measured by the inspiration he continues to give to old and young alike.

Their team is passionate about educating the public on proper rabbit care, ensuring that each rabbit finds a loving and knowledgeable home. Women That Care Is A well Known Non Profit That Provides service in and around the communities with basic need items .The Director has a heart for the community no matter what the situation is and where they are in life .You can find services from Ms Myra and her team on the corner in the park at the storage .at the food Pantry.at the hotel.the church wherever you are and in need they will meet you right where you are! Amazing Group Of People That Cares.

After reading all the positive reviews it makes me wonder where it all went downhill. I’m a sm and I reached out to this organization asking for assistance with rent utilities food and possibly fuel after being hurt preforming my military duties and not being able to work for month because of my injury. My application was denied not once not twice but three times. The first time it was denied it was because I did not have an eviction notice or anything stating I owed rent even though I added my landlords info so they could’ve reached out to him. The 2nd time it was because the form was outdated by just a few days, my employment somehow confused them, and once again they wanted an eviction notice. The third time I gave them everything they could ask for and once I gave them a letter from my landlord saying I owed rent it still wasn’t good enough. I spoke with someone who knows a lot about this program and it’s not as good as people say it is. I understand they have helped some people but to deny a soldier due to paperwork and being too lazy to pick up a phone and reach out to someone to verify something is beyond me. There have been service members who have been evicted with nowhere to go then all of a sudden after they’ve told them no time after time they want to help. There are better programs out there to donate to just do some research because this ain’t it.

ETP is filling an important need in preparing people for the important role of parenting. I especially like how ETP's curriculum is shaped to help teens proactively address real-world problems. As a result of ETP's work, there is great hope that teens today will be able to create strong future families.

"Guardianship violates the "ADA" <br>Raleigh District Court Public Records File 15CVD9292 proves that my son has a Guardian as a result of unlawful discrimination as proven in a court of law where he was denied affordable, safe and decent housing because he has a mental disability. The records also prove that 2 reasonable accommodation requests were also denied. After he was denied housing in the basis of disability, his highly supportive living and biological mother, Advocate and one with the best interest was then denied the right to remain his Legal Guardian because she had no place for him to live as a result of the injustice. He was left in a homeless state in an institution for months begging with teary eyes to come home. He was then placed in homes that had to be investigated by the NC "DHHS" which found them ALL to be with A1 SERIOUS NEGLECT, ABUSE and EXPLOITATION. This violates the OLMSTEAD DECISION. The ARC Of NC states as being so great with upholding the CIVIL RIGHTS of the disabled but I find that to be just "talk" as they took over the Guardianship by contract on Feb. of 2023 and told the mother NOTHING. She found out in other ways and sent the ARK Of NC the sons letters of his pleas to get out of a home that violates the OLMSTEAD DECISION. The Ark of NC had ignored the reasonable accommodation request and keeps the son in the Mental Health Facility, despite his written and signed letters to come out. This violates Title II Of the "ADA".

Hillel is an amazing preschool with the most dedicated and kind teachers. Our children have grown and learned so much.

The work done by Ten Eighteen is extremely important for this world region. I hope that they continue to bring hope, education and all the basic needs to the youth of Uganda. As a donor I feel that I am part of something special. "Good Heart" is all we need and Ten Eighteen has one. The project they have for this population are ground to earth but very successful. I will keep supporting this effort.

This Motorcycle Club is a group of Marines and Navy Corpsmen that enjoy riding motorcycles and supporting fellow veterans.

We applied for a dog who's been in foster with 2 Paws Up for six months. Our application was denied without a phone call to discuss because my cats are perfectly healthy & don't get regular vet care. I am a former vet assistant & still friends with the vets I worked with. I lost a cat to likely vaccine site cancer six years ago & that's traumatizing. But anytime my animals have needed care, we've never denied that even based on money. We said we would take this dog for annuals no problem. Whomever responds to adoption applications is unprofessional & short. I poured my soul out about the amazing life we wanted to give this dog. <br> Part of me feels like they don't actually want these animals adopted. And in photos the foster home he's being kept in is filthy. I adopted from them in 2011 & back then they skirted the rules & let me take a puppy home same day because it suited them at the time. I can't say I'd ever recommend this "rescue."

I currently stay here they are horrible they lied to us to the people who are donating they hard earned cash to help us the clients out we are not getting any assistance with that they do not offer us lyft services anymore they make us catch buses and majority of us have jobs they don't care if you are late or not they promised us housing assistance that they no longer do they kick people out left and right over the smallest things when they don't feel like they are following rules they don't believe in second chances they don't like us to be heard or voice opinions it's like we have 2 walk on egg shells around bc 1 wrong thing can cost us the constantly remind people that they are drug addicts and that they don't need us that we asked to come here the ceo doesn't even come and talk to us about any promises or any areas that the program needs to approve they use God as a cover up to con people out of money and to seem like they do so much but I'm here to tell you that it is all a facade they are nasty and evil behind these doors now there are some genuine people here that actually tries to help and that's only a handful we work 2 stay here any areas n the building that needs to be done the clients do it n of course where not looking for a free stay so we got 2 work 2 live here but with all the donations food,clothes,hygiene ,the money that yall send 2 actually help us with various things they don't spend it on us they are fraud and scammers I Love God but this place is using his name for there on benefits and pockets but the truth will come to the light n it was last long I have so many stories that I personally know and seen that I could share as far as others but if u no thinking of coming here don't sorry if I offended anyone but the truth needs to be heard now you have people who have successfully completed this program and don't great things but outta 4 years they been here only 1 has got a house through them that should tell u something and check the books n see the turn over rate and ask urself why has so many ppl gone and left over this great God fearing program but thanks for the read n I wish whoever is considering this place the best of luck

This organization truly lives up to its name by providing opportunities for the community to catch hope while identifying and dismantling the many barriers faced by so many. This organization has been essential in supporting the youth by providing them with educational resources needed for successful a school year. The organization has also hosted various learning circles to enhance the community's overall well-being. I am grateful to know that this organization is doing such an awesome and much needed work.
