Today was the first day to a great, fun, and truly just amazing hobby/lifestyle. I began my scuba lessons with an AMAZING compassionate instructor named O' Brien. I was with two other classmates and was thrilled to do something I should of done a long time ago. Thank you Aquanauts for giving me this truly AMAZING opportunity.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Rescue & Sanctuary is a "die hard" rescue. If you want to learn and see if horses are for you this is a great place to get started. We work and then we play is heard often. You will learn as much as you want too, all you have to do is ask. Volunteers are the "backbone" of the organization and the staff and management know it, and recognize it by always saying "thank you". It is a fun place with an upbeat vibe. The horses are beautiful and they all have their own personalities.

My experience as a volunteer and Operations Associate at Save the Water™ has been truly rewarding. I’ve had the opportunity to work with passionate professionals dedicated to protecting one of our most vital resources water. Through my role in Operations, I’ve developed key skills in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving while supporting STW’s global mission. The organization values dedication and provides mentorship and opportunities for personal and professional growth. I’m proud to be part of this diverse, inspiring team working together to make a real impact on our planet’s future.

My recovery from cancer treatment has been full of obstacles. But benefitting from activities at Gilda's Club South Florida has made the journey less onerous. I take advantage of an organized support group and stimulate my creativity by participating in painting classes and events. If you are navigating the cancer challenge road it's worthwhile engaging with Gilda's Club.

4kids of South Florida is a fantastic organization full of love and support for Foster and adoptive families. They give continued education for raising your kids the best way possible and with God at the center of it all. they are not just an amazing organization we are all family doing life together!

I volunteered with NATIK from November 2023 until March 2024 in Chiapas with partner organizations Yo'Onik (Youth Education Center) and Mujeres Sembrando la Vida (Women Sowing Life) in Zinacantan. I was able to get to know indigenous children and women and see firsthand how NATIK is helping to improve their lives. I also visited partner organizations in Santiago Atitlan on a trip to Guatemala with NATIK staff and really enjoyed the experience. I am impressed with NATIK's organization and activities and hope to return to volunteer with a different partner organization next time.

South Florida Helping Hands is phenomenal! They enrich our community genuinely ! It was such a pleasure working with tyem.

BIWC has been an incredible partner of NSU for many years! Their fundraising efforts has contributed to hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships towards women international students, who otherwise have very little opportunity for funding. They are professional, generous, and have been wonderful advocates who go above and beyond to support our students. We are forever grateful for their partnership with our university, and hope it can continue for years to come!

I've been working at bit by bit therapy since 2019, I take care of the horses, clean up the barn, and volunteer sometimes to help the clients and therapist. It's the best place I think I've ever worked in my life! The horses are very well cared for. The reward for seeing the progress in the individuals getting equine hippotherapy amazing. In addition, we just got a brand new covered arena so the clients don't have to be in the hot sun. There's huge fans and lighting so we can go into the evening hours with the sessions. Volunteers are always welcome!

I want to share with you the incredible journey I've been on, and it all began with an ad I found on Jiji. This ad offered an opportunity for on-the-job training in MS-Office and QuickBooks for an NGO called BringBackHope, located in Community 18. My name is Kwartemaa Akosah, and at that time, I was a 20-year-old junior student at the University of Ghana, majoring in French with a minor in Sociology. <br> <br>When I first met Ms. Hope in March 2022, I was excited about the possibility of this job, but my friends were skeptical and urged me to be cautious. You see, my life has had its share of challenges. I lost my mother when I was just 8 years old, and it was my older brother, who was only 16 at the time, that raised me. My father had to travel to the UK to work and support us, spending 12 long years there. This job with Ms. Hope wasn't just an opportunity; it was a lifeline that could help pay for my tuition, food, and basic necessities. The fact that BringBackHope covered my transportation costs to work was an immense relief. <br> <br>Meeting Ms. Hope was a turning point in my life. She didn't just offer me a job; she took the time to assess my abilities and personality. Her assessments revealed that I had a knack for business and a caring nature. Little did I know that she needed an assistant who could speak and understand Twi and English to assist with her community projects, which was a delightful surprise. <br> <br>She decided to hire me, and we spent hours talking about my primary and high school experiences. She shared her project with Kotobabi Schools and explained why my help was so crucial. Ms. Hope even let me pursue my passion for baking at the Community Center, where she had all the necessary equipment and even bought the ingredients. I can proudly say I learned to made the best Banana Chocolate Coconut Muffins ever! <br> <br>During my time with Ms. Hope, I learned valuable lessons in business management, entrepreneurship, and how to be an exceptional assistant. I received certifications for MS-Office and QuickBooks, and she taught me how to write professional letters. She even had me conduct surveys among my friends to assist in her research on practical knowledge versus hypothetical knowledge in Ghana's public schools and colleges. <br> <br>One of my dreams was to become a Mobile Agent, and Ms. Hope supported me wholeheartedly. She helped eight of us become certified Mobile Money Agents, and we opened HopeMart, our provision shop. But Ms. Hope's kindness extended beyond professional growth; she noticed I was having trouble seeing and took me to an optician, even buying me a pair of glasses worth 3,000 cedis, which she didn't deduct from my pay. <br> <br>Ms. Hope became not just a mentor but also a source of unwavering support. When my cellphone and laptop were stolen, she replaced them without hesitation. She told me I could be anything I aspired to be, and her belief in me became my driving force. <br> <br>However, there came a time when my father and brother urged me to quit my job with Ms. Hope. They spoke to her directly, but she insisted on talking to me personally. I explained that this was the "Ghana Way," but I assured her that I would never forget the invaluable lessons she had taught me, and I would carry them with me wherever I go. <br> <br>Now, as I finish my last year of college in October 2023, I've been offered a permanent job as Ms. Hope's assistant. But my father has arranged an internship at the French Embassy for me, aligning with my degree. He hopes I'll help take care of him and his new wife as he retires from the UK. <br> <br>I share this story with you because Ms. Hope's impact on my life has been immeasurable, and I want you to know how profoundly grateful I am for her guidance and support. Her belief in me has fueled my dreams, and I carry her teachings with me as I embark on the next chapter of my life. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my journey. <br>

I have been a close fiend of Craig and Barbara Weiner for over 40 years and assisted them in the preparation of the documents for the Non Profit. What they have accomplished is truly amazing. The Holocaust Museum is an impressive exhibition of the history of that era and a lesson in what we should never allow to be repeated. Equally as impressive is the fact that they have imparted this knowledge to countless students, many of whom did not have any knowledge of what occurred prior to and during World War II. Craig and Barbara have devoted much of their time and resources to this project. Ea ch viit to the museum is a worthwhile learning experience for me.

They sent us a false confirmation of a telephone pledge with a phone number that is not ours. We sent a note back. They did not respond directly, just sent a 'second appeal' on the fake pledge.

I called the Homeless Helpline in September 2021 after fleeing my state from Domestic Violence from repeated and endless protection order violations. I called them and they flat out said we only help those who are sleeping daily in their cars or outside. IT IS NOW SEPTEMBER OF 2022 and I'm STILL WITHOUT A HOME FOR MY KIDS AND I . I'VE BEEN EXPLOITED LIKE YOU WOULD NOT BELIVE, MOVED SOOOO MANY TIMES AND I WORK FULL TIME AND STILL CANNOT PROVIDE WHAT I NEED. ON WAITLISTS FOR HOUSING. THE HOMELESS HELPLINE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE UNLESS THEY FEEL LIKE IT .

Mi hijo se llama Pedro Sanchez Solis, el tiene hipoacusia bilateral profunda debido a que al año que dio sarampión. El perdio de manera total su audición debido a este virus. En mi camino encontré angeles y me refiero a la fundación HERO4HOPE, Ivvete su representante y Elizabeth miembro del board desde un comienzo esbieron siempre abiertas para ayudar y comenzamos una campaña para reunir para la hospitalización y cirugía de implante coclear para mi pequeño. Con total emoción lo conseguimos y es así que mi hijo se opero el 27 de enero del 2020 en Quito Ecuador. El trabajo continua... no es un camino fácil ... pero mi hijo siempre sera un HERO4HOPE. La esperanza es lo último que se debe perder. GRACIAS DE CORAZON A TODAS ESOS ANGELES QUE DONARON!!!! DIOS LES DARA MAS. y un agradecimiento especial a esta fundación que acogió mi petición y enseguida la gestionó.

Handy and the events by the name of Handy NextGen are unbelievable additions to the Fort Lauderdale community. The volunteer staff are so dedicated and committed, the positive energy was contagious enough to be apart of it. I'm grateful to have met several people within this organization who are professionals who take passion and pride for this cause. Nothing but the best!

When my daughter Johanna was two years old, she was diagnosed with ASD, and I felt very alone and scared about the future. I finally realized that my isolation was not doing me, Johanna, or anyone else any good at all, and I reached out to other parents in the same situation. This led me to my earliest encounters with the Autism Society of Broward, about 7 years ago. I gradually became more active in my volunteer work, and I found that the connections I was able to make with other parents in a similar situation was energizing and healing for both me and Johanna. I have never looked back, and the Society continues to be one of the main focuses of my life. I would highly recommend that any parent wishing to connect with other parents visit the website asabroward.org and join this wonderful group today. Through participating in the various programs the group has to offer, you will also soon discover that you are not alone on this challenging but rewarding journey!!

Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale is such a wonderful organization. They founded several of Broward County's top charitable organizations. They provide excellent leadership training to women and improve the community through their non-stop volunteering activities. They're a great organization to be involved with as well. They have a few fundraisers a year that you can be a part of as well - a great time while helping to raise funds.

So proud to be able to volunteer with such a great dedicated team, making an impact on our youth and elderly in South Florida!

Our agency had the pleasure of working with the terrific team at Voices for Children of Broward County and were so impressed with the team, leadership, goals and the work they do that is so important. We attended an event for them recently and it was so wonderfully organized and had a terrific turnout of influential people from all walks of life.

Sun trolley is a non profit public transport service that is a godsend to locals and tourists alike, providing inexpensive (and sometimes free) trips to and from downtown Ft Lauderdale, the beach/se 17 st, and Galleria to Target malls. The trolleys provide a friendly service and reliable transportation. A wonderful idea and a valuable resource for the tourist and local community. Thank you Sun Trolley!

Volunteer work can get very tedious, but it is really worth the effort. <br> <br>I have enjoyed every minute of my volunteer efforts at this Museum. I never expected it to be this interesting. It was however very disorganized and it still lacks continuity. I've never been afraid of challenges and this has been definitely a big challenge and the most satisfying too. I became a volunteer 3 years ago, and it has been a continuous inspiration, because of the sheer necessity of organization and goals when I first became involved: there were so many boxes, everywhere, filled with historical photographs, records, artifacts, garbage, and what not. We have probably thrown out 85% of garbage and organized the vital artifacts now. <br> <br>We are all volunteers here and give it our best. We are still finding treasures among the boxes. I can say that I have learned a tremendous amount about the history of World War II, but most especially about the men and women that experienced it. Many of the members are World War II veterans, and they are getting older, so it is vital that we record their experiences. We have started a Veteran's Stories Project. I'm always excited to meet and learn from every volunteer that brings in their own experience. There are many opportunities for growth, and the volunteer Directors are always welcoming new ideas. There are also several Luncheons and Events throughout the year, that we can organize for Fundraising.
