This could be a 5 star support center, however there is a worker there named Stephen who lives upstairs on the property. His lack of taste and decency is so pronounced he should be removed from the agency. His dialogs always progress to vituperative attacks. The last thing lost souls need is to be antagonized and oppressed by a nefarious ne'er–do–well.

Ever since the inspiring, late Diji Christian recruited me to join the Vallejo Sister Cities in the mid 2000's or so, I have been blessed with the "United Nations of Vallejo" i.e., Sister Cities and the SCI culture, history, pride and global peace and friendship concept. <br><br>Past chairs and presidents of this important Vallejo history for 60 years like Teena Miller, Brenda Brumfield, Pelton Stewart, Yolanda Kim, Dinah Ryan, Marwin Fruth, Paul Ligda deeply influenced me to continue to serve as a Board Member and Commissioner -- extending our "Thrive Locally, Grow Globally" concept as goodwill and peace ambassadors of our city and nation.<br><br>Our Multicultural Day, Dinner-Auction Fundraisers, Delegation visits and host family events,. our visits to Ensenada, Mexico in 2017 and 2019 continue to grow positive vibes of our city and its diverse populations. The rise of some of the underrepresented and minorities in the various stakeholder and civic leadership roles are key in our overall wellbeing as a vibrant city.<br><br>The organization also faces challenges of not recruiting and implementing a consistent, youthful leadership team who understands, deeply commits and strives for maintaining the already well established reputation. <br><br>Dwindling memberships and citywide participation and acceptance of the sister cities citywide is another to overcome. Many residents continue to question 'double dipping' of a few commissioners and board members continuing to shift and share the leadership roles mostly among themselves among family instead of the entire spectrum of Vallejo's Diversities including the need to embrace the LGBTQ community.. <br><br>Seeking a representative of all the 5 chambers of commerce and adopting a LOCAL Humanitarian Project (Community Gardens, Shelter-less Encampment, Schools) would also help to change the perception among the public. The future is hopeful and bright as more conscientious leaders emerge.

This organization is an excellent conduit for parents seeking to find meaningful programs to encourage, enlighten and uplift our youth in the community. This organization offers mentorship with stellar leadership and passion to serve in our community. They offer programs that connect intrinsic value to education, community service and rights of passage to manhood. <br> <br>The KOL Foundation has also uniquely found pathways to break barriers that impede the success of our young men and women by exposing them to cultural experiences, financial wealth, stewardship and commitment to high standards of personal development. <br> <br>The Beautillon is an scholarship ball that offers an opportunity for young men to be introduced to society with class and with a unique flair that is unmatched. It is designed to support individual and collective achievements and aids in the students transition as they matriculate into higher education. <br> <br>This was by far the best program both of my two sons participated in. My sons will never forget their experience with The KOL Foundation. Hands down they are the best comprehensive program around.

VCAF, as it is know, is a jewel of an organization serving Vallejo, CA and all of Solano cCounty and beyond. It is governed by a hardworking and dedicated all volunteer Board who spend many hours developing and promoting activities to keep the artsw vibrant in the community. The Summer Children's Art Camp gives children from 8-15, two weeks of multiple media experiences in many varied aspects of art; from painting to photography to a live stage production. Additionally, VCAF oversees Art Windows, a program that provides local artists the opportunity to display their work in downtown vacant store front windows. This provides them needed exposure and prevent blight. Othr initiatives are too numerous to mention except for the management of the beautiful refurbished Empress Theater that provides a wide variety of live entertainment for the community. VCAF keeps the arts alive in Vallejo and throughout Solano County and I am proud to be a Board member.

SCAC is a WONDERFUL non-profit! They supported us immediately while many other agencies would hardly give us the time of day. And, they've done the same for many other local artists groups, year after year, with a small staff with an even smaller budget. We simply LOVE Solano County Arts Council--they're the BEST!

I have been a volunteer for this organization over the last 4 years. During that time, I have also contributed as a monthly donor to support their educational and athletic programs for the students in Haiti. I am truly amazed at how much WEI has done with so little yet, they never stop providing help to others. God sees you WEI. Keep up the GREAT work!!!

As the Executive Director of the Vallejo Convention and Visitors Bureau I am fortunate to attend many of the events presented by our members. I have worked for the Vallejo CVB for seven years and during my first few years, while helping to promote and support the Vallejo Symphony I had not attended one of their concerts thinking that I am not a huge fan of classical music. Well about four years ago, I decided it was time for me to see what friends and other members were saying when the claimed that if I just attend one of their performances that I would become a fan, <br>I discoverd they were absolutely right and I have been a huge promoter and a financial supporter too, ever since. The orchestra is superb and it does not matter that you are not lover of the classics but that you allow the music to let you escape from the hectic everyday world and enjoy the experience of a live symphony. And the Maestro David Ramadanoff's pre-concert sessions and his interesting remarks prior to the program enlighten and educate the performances. I as well as the community of Vallejo are so lucky that we have symphony orchestra since 1932 and I continually remind people of this fact and that if they just experience one concert that they will be back time after time to enjoy this talented orchestra.

Established in 2001, the Global Center for Success (GCS) has served thousands of clients who are struggling to cope with life. Working with the Vallejo Lord’s Fellowship Center, the Christian Help Center Emergency Shelter and other collaborative agencies, the Global Center of Success has helped mainstream homeless and underserved individuals back into the community.<br>GCS uses a holistic approach in working with clients. Our Basic Life Skills Training Program, Adult Education Services, Support Groups, Health & Wellness Education as well as Employment Readiness Training are all geared to nurture, empower, and enable our clients to build on the strengths they already have. We touch not only the person’s physical needs but we also offer spiritual counseling and support as foundations for wholeness and self-sufficiency.<br>GCS is a 501(c) (3) public charity corporation and we depend greatly on donations from the community.

This organization offers assistance in finding information, services and resources for seniors 50 or better in Vallejo, California. They have a wide variety of classes i.e. exercise, continuing education, <br>foreign language, financial seminars and many more too many to list. Travel Department for local casino trips and longer excursions trip all around the world. Thrift shop is a hidden jem with great prices & unique hand crafted items. Meals on Wheels congregate dining Monday -Friday @ noon. Support groups to help you through tough times. Come and check out all the wonderful programs and activities they have to offer in this welcoming happy place.

This non-denominational church is an excellent choice for individuals, young and old and families. My husband and I have been members for two years and truly feel like long-time family members now. Senior pastor Reuel Calica is warm, extremely intelligent and teaches with love about a loving God. <br> <br>Programs include an on-site pre-school, small group bible studies all across the San Francisco Bay Area, Celebrate Recovery to help those with "Hurts, Habits and Hang Ups" and the brand new Faith Food Fridays, for free community grocery distribution. The college group and Faith Kids performing arts group has dozens of youngsters enthusiastically participating. This organization shows excellent customer service. I'm a single mom who just wanted to enroll my kids into a camp for the summer. I called up to the Camp Fire USA council located in Vallejo and they helped me with everything I needed to know. The summer camp didn't quite fit my budget so they informed me on the weekend camps that were held monthly. They invited me in the office to show me pictures of the camp which is Camp Gold Hollow. The camp focuses on healthy relationship, green technology, and living a healthy life. My kids go up to camp every other month and really enjoy going up there. This would be a joy for other kids and I really reccommend it! - Lisa Harrison
