The adoption process was clearly explained and uncomplicated. I especially loved the care elements of the adoption: vaccines, swag bag, and spay/neuter appointment. The staff were friendly and aware of my need and the animal’s need.

I’m sharing my experience because I believe it’s crucial for people to understand that harm can happen even within organizations that present themselves as safe spaces, especially for vulnerable communities. <br> <br>Over the course of about a year, I experienced repeated violations of my physical boundaries by the founder of this organization. Despite my clear and repeated requests to stop unwanted touching and hugging, these boundaries were disregarded. <br> <br>There were instances where the founder made demands that felt like attempts to control access to my body, and when I resisted or spoke up, I faced harassment in response. <br> <br>This was not an isolated incident but a pattern of behavior. When I raised these concerns to the organization, I was told there would be an investigation. However, I was never asked a single question throughout the process, which makes me question the sincerity of that investigation. <br> <br>My therapist, who had previously supported Alphabet Army, wrote a letter on my behalf after learning about what I had experienced. In response, the founder began publicly disparaging my therapist. Originally, I had approached my therapist seeking guidance—not to report the founder—but based on what I shared, my therapist felt ethically obligated to report the matter to Child Protective Services. <br> <br>I want to be clear: I did not come forward lightly. Yet, after speaking out, I have been treated as if I am the danger to the community, simply for telling the truth. <br> <br>How can this organization still have confidence in its leadership when these serious concerns have not been meaningfully addressed? <br> <br>I have witnessed the founder discourage minors from disclosing abuse because it might reflect poorly on her or the organization. I have seen rumors spread and boundary violations happen, and I have seen the organization protect its founder while ignoring those trying to raise alarms. <br> <br>This is not about holding a grudge. I am speaking up to protect others from harm that has already occurred. <br> <br>My hope is for a genuine apology and meaningful steps toward accountability and safety for everyone involved.

I had visited a couple times with my sister in law and the horses get lots of Love and are cared for tremendously.

This organization should be ashamed of its financial mismanagement. If you check them out on reputable non-profit evaluation sites like Charity Navigator they get one star. That is because they only spend 50% of their revenue on their actual mission! They take in about $500,000 annually and spend half of it on fundraising and administration! I would never donate to an organization that spent less than 85% on its stated mission. This is a sham. I feel sorry for the animals they have. If you want to protect animals, donate to another group that actually uses your money for the stated goal.

I heard about Champions for Children while in college and was able to seat down with a counselor year later for resources that would be helpful for my son’s ADHD diagnosis. The therapist that met with me and Benjamin was incredibly patient and supportive. Although medication ultimately was a journey and route that we had to take which we received from his pediatrician. I really enjoyed being able to get a different perspective and additional information so that we could delay and keep medication dosage low.

Followed them for years! Few days ago they made a comment that was very unprofessional! Blocked everyone that disagreed with them! Very Rude! Will definitely keep sharing my thoughts about them!

Before even giving an Eastern Orthodox Church a visit some details need to be understood. Details that the church is not transparent about whatsoever. This is the same denomination for the genocides in Bosnia during the 1990s Yugoslavia war. This is the same denomination that blesses Russian tanks, weapons, and nuclear weapons with holy water. The very same weapons used to commit war crimes in Ukraine. This is the religion of fascist Russia where one third of all Orthodox Christians worldwide reside and are propagandized. This is the same faith which names their Sunday service after someone who infamously authored some of the most despicable sermons against the Jewish people. In fact, the Nazi dictator himself was inspired by some this archbishop's antisemitic sermons and works. This is the denomination who routinely conducts lynch mobs against those of the lgbtq community in Eastern Europe. This is the faith of neo-nazism and white supremacy. All Orthodox Churches are complicit to these crimes against humanity and violations of human rights. Their consistence of doing nothing and looking the other direction is enabling and wrong. Their denial of their own extremist groups and routine censorship of those whistleblowing the truth about them only contributes to the further radicalization of their own congregations. If you don't wish to be radicalized avoid any and all Orthodox Churches. I used to be among these people's ranks for almost three decades. I know what I'm talking about. This church only creates the most sinister of people. They are abusive and shameless to it. To raise your children in this type of environment is child abuse.

I was fortunate enough to do my internship through this amazing non-profit organization. At ETCIL we worked with clients on their individual set goals by creating activities that targeted skills such as math skills, social skills, time management skills and so much more. The staff at ETCIL provided me the experience needed to go into my future job confident in how to help disabled individuals. Staff set an excellent example of how to care for the clients and how to help them reach their set goals. 10/10 recommend ETCIL.

Amazing growth every year as they serve and promote cataract replacement surgeries in Togo, Africa to those who would never have another change for their sight to be restored. Excellent communication with donor base. Stories on facebook.

LCOT has allowed me to make an impact on the lives of people in our community. I enjoy seeing the faces my students make when they do better or their tests or even move to a GED class. Our work is truly changing lives.

Ok so you have all helped me and seen my fight with the 5 puppies with seizure and the 1 that was healthy and had no medical issues.<br><br>Today that fight came to a end.<br><br>SPCA of East Texas had recieved word from a rescue trying to help me that I needed assistance. They came and took photos of the dogs and said they would get them vetted and send them up north.Be*** from SPCA told us to hold onto them a few more weeks forbthe we said thats fine. Told the few Rescues that wanted to help that SPCA is gonna send them up North. Everything was planned and worked out.... Today at 9 am there is a banging on my front door and 3 animal control officers are at my door. I contact Be*** she said to turn them over to Animal control that SPCA sent them to get the dogs. Tyler Animal Control said they will take the dogs to SPCA. I give over the puppies after wishing them luck and lots of fun in their new life. The 2 males that had grown attached to me literally cried. But I knew they would get taken care of at a new home......should be the end right......wrong..<br><br>SPCA lied to us and killed ALL 6 of the dogs. Within 3 hours of taking them they were euthanized.

When I found out what they all do I was surprised. I got their contact by someone and than I started hearing from other people too. I finally got the chance to stop in and meet them! WOw is an understatement. They are trying to bring services to the minority communities in relation to not only food education but food entrepreneurship. It is a community kitchen as well as a commissary. Not only about food but they help our own community residences learn about small business, economics and job training skills. Even thou they are new they give back alot that isn't advertised or publicized. Truly here to you!

I completely agree with the other review from 2009 on this organization. This organization exploits the abused and neglected children they are trusted to protect. The foster children are all but forgotten once they are placed with one of the ill-equipped foster families associated with Azleway. There are several very good employees at this organization but they are as abused by management as the children they serve. The board is composed of people loaded with conflict of interest issues. CASA volunteers, Trinity Charter School employees, CPS caseworkers and investigators, child advocacy lawyers and courts, past and present employees, and anyone who might take the time to visit any of their locations will see filthy and deplorable living conditions and mistreatment of the children. CPS reports are made but the staff lies to investigators and incidents throughout the entire organization go unaddressed. Children stop strangers (yes strangers walk around with the children) and ask them to help get them away from Azleway. No one is safe here. The report of the previous reviewer of "mob-like" activities is very true. Donations are stolen, children are neglected, lies cover up the truth when licensing comes to investigate concerns, employees are targeted and framed for wrong doing when they speak up and deeply held dark secrets of this place are therefore kept to be repeated with each new child or family this organization is supposed to serve. I have reported this organization to the appropriate authorities and hopefully one day a wise investigator will see through the smoke and mirrors to uncover the real horror that goes on at each site.

The afterschool program and summer programs provides a safe place for single parents to leave their children. The program is affordable, educational and fun filled with the field trips. It provides an opportunity for kids to explore things in life and learn the Golden Rule. A very needed resource for our community.

Today we received this email and wanted to share. They wrote " This organization is wonderful they have helped me and my family for the past two years with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. The two ladies that came by and delivered our Thanksgiving meal were so nice and down to earth. I never felt judged or less than because I could not provide for my family. Thank you for being there for me and my family.

They give lots of scholarships to our youth and provide educational opportunities like AgriWorld and Academic Rodeo.

I have been seeking medical services from Bethesda for years ... high blood pressure , diabetes and other various ailments and I have yet to walk away unsatisfied ! The skilled professional at Bethesda are not only kind and caring but genuinely care about each and every person that walks through there door ! For the working class such as myself it is excellent medical services that I can afford and they treat me with respect and are prompt with any follow up services needed ! But most of all they are a God based organization that not only tends to your physical needs but spiritual needs as well ! I never thought I would ever have a doctor pray with me during my appointment ,,, but he did !! A calmness surrounded me and I felt safe and assured . I thank the Lord for Bethesda and each and every person involved with this facility ! Thank You Bethesda ! <br> <br>

Therapet is an extraordinary organization that really touches hearts of those in need. What's better than the gentle soul of an animal assisting in your time of need. These highly skilled animals are remarkable and I am always amazed at the things they do for patients in area hosptials and schools. Ann

PATH is a great organization who utilizes volunteers well and really helps people!

I volunteer with my 3 year old son, and it is a GREAT way for us to do something that makes an impact together. He is learning so much about sharing and giving. That makes it all the more valuable to our family! Thank you Meals on Wheels for doing a great service in our community.

Be very careful with this organization. It is a sole proprietorship masquerading as a non-profit. It has no funding from sources other than what it charges for immigration services. This in itself is a violation of the BIA accreditation that they are so proud of. Catholic Charities is a much more reputable source of info for immigration services and Tyler also has 3-4 good immigration lawyers.

Tyler Type 1 Diabetes Foundation is a great organization. I have been Type One diabetic for 34 years. When I was a child growing up with this disease, I thought that I was all alone. Tyler Type One helps children in our community realize that they are not alone. Families living with this disease can get together and share ideas and just let each other know that they know what they are going through. The monthly meeting provide a great time to learn new things on the horizon for diabetes care and to share stories. Tyler Type One holds diabetes classes for the families of newly diagnosed children and their families that provide great resources on how to handle the changes in everyday life that diabetes causes. I highly recommend Tyler Type One Diabetes Foundation to anyone that is type one diabetic or who has family and friends living with this disease.
