NEDScholars has been a big part of my university life, shaping me into who I am today. They're the constant support system that helped me through lows and celebrated my wins. Not only did they provide me with a scholarship and laptop when I needed it most, but also offered invaluable experiences, opportunities, and mentorship. Notably, they gave me a chance to take a game development bootcamp, which strengthened my concepts and allowed me to teach others. Beyond material support, the NEDScholars team, especially Dr. Sohail Ahmed, provides care, time, and support – whether it's study-related, personal, or other issues. For me, NEDScholars has instilled a sense of empathy and passion for community work, teaching me the importance of volunteering and helping the underprivileged.

NBS is a great organization and the work they do is amazing. They care very much about each and every dog they rescue. We have been lucky to have adopted 2, Jojo and Sadie. Jojo sadly passed then Sadie came to filled the empty spot in our hearts. Thank you for the great job you are doing.

2017 We got a Cat from one of your rescue.crews at the Pet Co In Madison Heights. He is doing Great! Now we have Donated $100.00 in Memory of an Animal Lover who has brought in a lot of rescue Kitties and her name is Pamela Hoffman she just passed away! Our interaction with getting our Phoenix Alan the Cat went well back than. He is a good healthy cat!

Its really hard to put into words how much the Jenna Kast foundation means to us. The impact has been life changing. They came into our lives like a bright shiny star, when my daughters was needing treatment for brain tumors again. To go through brain surgeries, another round of treatments. After believing you beat it, really pulls you down. They granted my daughters wish to take her little brother to Disney World to spend quality time with her family. Time we weren't sure she really had. If you ask my daughter what her opinion about Jenna Kast Foundation, her reply is always the same. "The Jenna Kast Foundation saved me, they saved me from myself. They helped me see that I needed to fight. Too not give up. That I have something to fight for and that Im worth fighting for." 💕

The Williams Syndrome Association has offered us valuable information and connections with other families who have children with the same rare disorder as our son for many years. They are a lifeline for us. Our son’s doctors use their website to learn more and provide him with optimal care. His teachers find educational stategies. And we, his parents, find support. Thank you for all you do!

This organization has helped countless animal shelters and is constantly striving to help as many animals as possible. The organization’s fearless leader, Alex Whitney, is one of the most dedicated and passionate people I have ever met.

MPDCI has provided amazing services to our two children with cystic fibrois, who are now young adults. Summer after summer our family has been the beneficiaries of their generosity in providing tickets to places such as Michigan Adventure and Frankenmuth. For the past couple of summers, my youngest daughter Jamie has been able to attend cross country training camp. We are not a family of means, and thee activities are luxuries we most likely would have forgone otherwise. Casandra, our older daughter, has benefited semester after semester from the educational grant that MPDCI has provided for her. The people at MPDCI have such great hearts. Whenever we apply for a grant or scholarship, they communicate so professionally, and yet so compassionately. They have been patient when we have erred and they helped us to know what we needed to do in order to receive the grant/scholarship we were applying for. I guess, in a nutshell, it is obvious that they are passionate about assisting the CF community in as many ways as possible, and are delighted each time that they do just that. Because of distance, we do not actively engage in social activities they provide, and have participated in very little of their fundraising events. Yet, anyone I have ever talked to in that organization has treated me wonderfully. They are whole hearted, to be sure. It would be wonderful to see this organization recieve this grant, to encourage them for their great heart/efforts, and enable them to do even more. Children and young adults with CF often appear rather "normal" to most people, but to those of us who live with someone with CF, we know their daily challenges. But although we love them and seek to help them in everyway possible, we can never entirely understand what they go through. How grateful we are for an organization like MPDCI who heeps encouragement on these dear invididual.

There is nothing like seeing the smiles from patients who receive toys from BTC. This organization is doing such amazing work caring for the emotional side of healing. The toys uplift their spirits, which gives kids the strength to fight through treatment.

I have gained many friendships over the years as a client. The ladies here work so hard and you can tell they love their clients.

I have been volunteering at the DTW Freedom Centers now for 3 years and it's such a great experience! Maybe it's the mom in me or perhaps it the sincere feeling of appreciation for our military guests... it's just a great place to share my time. Even now with Covid, where we're reduced to doorstop hospitality, I still enjoy interacting with the guests and sharing stories of their travels. Always happy to support the Brave!

The Detroit Education Society is a great organization. I first joined DES about two years ago, and since then I have spent countless hours tutoring underprivileged, Metro-Detroit elementary school students in Math and Science. Besides those subjects, DES teaches Language Arts, in addition to SAT and ACT prep. <br><br>The Detroit Education Society is unique in that we teach kids over Google Hangouts, which is similar to software like Skype. This allows tutors to have more flexibility in schedule and also allows them to teach students that they normally wouldn’t be able to reach. However, we do have tutors who physically go to schools as well.<br><br>While teaching a subject such as Math or Language Arts over a video chatting program may sound difficult, with the right tutors and the right strategy, the results are comparable to physically being there with a student. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard a student say “Oh! It all makes sense now!”, or “This way is so much easier, thanks!”. <br><br>Overall the Detroit Education Society is a great organization because we are actively committed to helping underprivileged kids in new and innovative ways and in a variety of subjects. If normal school isn’t enough for students, the DES can provide supplemental education, enabling kids and having a positive, tangible impact on the Detroit area, and the world.<br>

It is so rewarding to be a part of this non-profit with dedicated volunteers! We continue cultivating, motivating, and mentoring females of all ages and places in their lives pursuing education and careers in the automotive and related industries. In 2020, amid the pandemic, awarded $37,500 in scholarships. Our total scholarships as of Dec 2021 is 194 recipients = $484,500!!! My name is Menica Harper I worked with Cappucin Soup Kitchen in Detroit Michigan for the homeless I was also homeless as I am writing th his I can’t stop crying here in Macomb county I know for sure sex offenders get better treatment than me as a black woman I was being sexually harassed by my neighbor contstantly you can look my name up on the internet and see I was shot and raped it’s not a secret I’m on mental medication I finally couldn’t take it no more so I had a mental breakdown and my Boyfriend was fed up and beat him up for constantly sexually harassing me I was with Chn for five years and they kicked me out the program for my boyfriend stopping this sexual predator I have contacted the office of civil rights I also believe I was racially profiled because when Amy called to kick me out I was told we black women always cause problems for others I can’t believe people donate to these people I never even was asked am I doing ok mentally Amy also told me to prepare to be homeless and go get mental help I’m fighting for my rights I would never believe in another organization.

Chris and Betty Baryames Scholarship “Chris and Betty were proud of their Greek Heritage. Their family’s birth places were Sparta and Tripoli, and they named their house, Little Sparta. They raised their four children with strong Greek values. They also valued education and believed in helping others. He would be proud of the scholarship established in his name and mine by our children. This is our way of paying it forward to assist the future of our Hellenic youth. She was instrumental in initiating many chapters including the Ann Arbor Chapter. She was very proud when both my brother and I received partial scholarships to attend Grosse Pointe University School (now University Liggett) and when we both graduated from the University of Michigan. It was with great pride that we established a scholarship in her name. These values included the great importance of civic duty and of education. They were proud of their Greek heritage and their American citizenship. They each served many terms as presidents of their respective local AHEPA and DOP chapters and organized annual spring banquets honoring their graduates. I've been working as a volunteer with The Family Missions for over 10 years. <br>I have been personally involved in the food distribution program and the outreach ministries. <br>Every day we have missionary volunteers in communities of Metro-Detroit who are doing their best to minister to people of all walks of life. <br>Some of this ministering is done simply through kindness and helping those who are need. Sometimes what people need most in this world is to know that there are people who care, who are willing to listen, and who have not only sympathy but also compassion. <br>

We Build Character is an organization that changes lives. The founders are passionate about making a difference in their community. They've succeeded by creating a mentoring program that takes each participant through self discovery while guided by an experienced mentor to help them achieve their goals. At he conclusion of the program, it is so inspiring to witness the personal growth each participant has achieved.

They could not care less about the people that they are so-pose to be helping. On 07-26-2013 I wont say who she was but she hung the phone up on my wife. They are rude and should all be replaced. This is my money that I worked for not theirs. They tell me the fund is in trouble but still this month they could donate $30,000.00 to Benny Napoleon campaign but they are cutting my pension by 75%.
